The management team, particularly Melissa, is great to work with and very responsive. I thought it would be difficult to negotiate getting out of my lease since we bought a house, but they were extremely fair and pleasant. If I were to rent again, I would certainly choose Chestnut Property Management!

My husband and I and 2 cats needed a rental in Wilmington. We were looking online from another State when we came across a townhome that would accept cats, through Chestnut Property Management. Melissa was kind enough to give us a virtual tour through her phone as we were unable to travel to check anything out in person. We did rent this property for a year before buying a home and Melissa was always quick to respond when we reached out to her with any issues and promptly sent out their handyman when needed.

My wife and I rented a town home from Tom Inksetter with Chestnut Property Management for 6 and a half years. We moved in as just a young newly married couple and almost 7 years later have just bought our first home as we now have 2 kids! This was hands down the BEST rental experience we've ever had. If we ever needed anything fixed or replaced it was done promptly, even same day in certain situations. With a 2 year daughter old and new born son, our AC went out one morning. Tom had a team install a brand new energy efficient AC unit that SAME DAY! He obviously cared about our children's wellbeing

We rented from Chestnut for over 3 years. Working with Melissa was fantastic! She was always very responsive. She did what she said she was going to do, things got taken care of quickly. Most importantly, she’s just a really nice, down to earth, caring person. Very easy to work with. I would not hesitate to work with them again in the future.

My experience with Chestnut Property Management has been nothing short of amazing. Melissa works hard to ensure all parties involved are taken care of. We had some maintenance problems in the home we rented that we were having difficulty getting approved for repair through the landlord... Every issue we've had, she has diligently worked to advocate for us with the landlord and get a solution in place. She is quick to reply and attentive to our needs, and you can tell she has both her tenants' and her clients' best interest at heart.

Chestnut Property Management has been the rental manager for my Wilmington, NC condo for the past ten years. They have done an excellent job. They have quickly found new tenants when someone moved out, and the month to month activities of rent collection and maintenance when needed have always been timely and hassle-free. If you need an agent in the Wilmington area, use them!

A local business owner from Wallace HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Melissa and suggested that I contact her for guidance. Thank God for that referral! Melissa got back with me promptly in spite of her busy schedule. She was professional, honest and explained everything to me so that we could make an informed decision about our property. As one of their tenants, I would say Tom and Melissa are professional, courteous and friendly property managers. You can tell they care a lot about their tenants and landlords and that they have a lot of experience in the area. I have dealt with many different property management companies before and these guys are by far the best. They always go above and beyond and are a pleasure to work with. They handle all the hassle with getting and vetting renters and handle the maintenance needs promptly. I am actually looking to invest in more properties in the area just so that I can do more business with Chestnut Property Management. BTW they have always returned my calls immediately and treat the renters very well and work hard to resolve any issues that come up.
