Been in and out of Blue Bird taxis since 1989. Not the fanciest cars but they do well with what they have. Blue Bird being able to serve the citizens of New Rochelle for over 100 years is due to the wonderful people who call it home. Continue to show that love lift Blue Bird up and when needed let them know your dissatisfaction so they do not continue let you down someone is listening because the bad attitudes or actions of a few should not reflect negatively on the rest. I needed to have my 13-year-ld daughter driven from my home in New Rochelle to her day camp in North Castle in the morning, and returned home that afternoon. I made arrangements with the dispatcher the day before, and was told the price. The next day, I was charged way more than what they had quoted, but had no choice but to pay it, as I had to leave for work.
After camp, no one showed up to drive my daughter home. I called the company. They had no record of the order. My daughter had to wait 50 minutes before a cab arrived to drive her home, and they overcharged me by a large amount again.

Before I could ask for an ETA, was hung up on by the super rude dispatcher. Called back to politely ask ETA, dispatch said, "uh, yeah. You called like 2 minutes ago. He'll get there when he gets there". I said, I'm sorry but I'll never call your service again. Dispatcher told me to F**k myself and hung up. Wow.

If there was an option to give less stars, I would. I have lived in New Rochelle for over 6 years now and have never been more happy to see competition erode the front runner. I have never been so disappointed by a non-government agency as I have with Blue Bird Taxi. After my taxi never showed up - when I called them an hour a head of time - going to LaGuardia for an international flight. They consistently told me that the car was on its way, after I waited like an idiot for an hour, I ended up calling the several more reputable taxi companies in the area and within minutes a cab was at my door

These are the worst of the worst. They overcharge and they discriminate. I had a driver tell me "it doesn't pay to drive you [an individual with limited mobility] around the corner and down the street." he then proceeded to pull over and tell me "why don't you walk." I made this complaint to a Det. and the verdict is still out. I was however told by the Detective, "Mr. Shelton is the owner." Use another company if I were you!! Now looking at all the other reviews and saying, Why did I not do my research??? So many complaints and a racial incident also!

These guys used to be my go to - until this morning. Dispatcher told a racial joke on the radio. I called later to inform that I didn't find it funny and that I'm part of that group. His response: "so is the dispatcher." Oh, so that makes it okay? Try again. It's 2014. If they want to present their business as a if bunch of Archie Bunkers are running it, that's cool. I just won't be calling them anymore. I'd rather walk.

I was told by the dispatcher that a taxi would come in 15 min to pick me at a hotel. I waited over 30 min after which the driver called to tell me he couldn't get the hotel to show up on his GPS. I told the driver that I was tired of waiting and not to bother since he was still at least 10 min away and there were cabs waiting at the hotel that I could jump into. The driver started getting made at me and told me that I had wasted his time and gas. I also received a called back from the main office telling me that they

Horrible customer service, lies about having cabs show up when they never do. If you are looking for reliability, it is defiantly not blue bird. It would be different if they had awesome customer service and poor reliability, or great reliability and poor customers service, but absolutely horrible on both ends. I'd suggest walking or riding a bike, you'd get there faster because they aren't showing up anytime soon.

These people are the worst cab drivers I have ever used. I have requested to use a credit card multiple times and they have continually sent me a driver who does not accept them. half of their drivers barely speak english and the other half do not know their way around new york city or the area. i definitely would not recommend using their service.
