Services
WRAP- (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) WRAP is a peer-led education and support program where you can learn about the causes and treatment of mental illness, self-help skills and recovery. WRAP is a self-designed plan that teaches you how to keep well, identify and monitor symptoms and to use simple, safe, personal skills, supports, and strategies to reduce or eliminate symptoms.
Kens Group- Ken's Group was created in honor of a Gathering Hope House member who committed suicide after having a really bad weekend. The group meets every Monday morning as a way to check in from the weekend and to check where everybody is at mentally. It's a great way for members to share their feelings about their weekend and to help those that have had a bad weekend and to talk their issues out.
Gathering Hope Radio Show records its first live video broadcast on 04/03/2016. The topic discussed was on Stigma within the Mental Health community. We pre recorded interviews at the Gathering Hope House and asked members how stigma played a role in their mental health and what can be done to end stigma.
Betty J. Weaver, M.S.S.A., is currently the Executive Director for Gathering Hope House (Mental Health Recovery Services). She received her Bachelor of Art in Social Work from Ursuline College and a Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, where she was noted as a Mandel Scholar and viewed as a leader in the community.
