This won't be a long in depth review I did a quick takeout as I was looking for 🐟
This is a small location right off Atlantic easy to miss.
Fish and Chips selection I'd say, is what the market has available, no haddock, instead it's tilapia and flounder.
Seafood market is changing I get that but I guess as an experienced seafood affectionado I was expecting more, like haddock.
I did settle for the flounder, it was well prepared along with the fries and nearby coleslaw and it was priced right.

If you get the “fish and chips” then it might be 3 stars, I asked for the chicken and waffles and was brought honey instead of syrup (they ran out of syrup), the waffles were under cooked, the chicken was fried to the point of being burnt. The server was appalling and seemed to frown on me being there and not wanting fish. I offered to try the coconut shrimp when he shunned my chicken and waffle order and they said they were all out (at 1pm on a Saturday). I’m not sure how they order the food for the week or how often they rotate stock but it is concerning… I’ll never go back.

2nd time here fish cooked great just very little seasoning even after asking that my fish be seasoned with garlic powder or something. Hush puppies are GREAT!!!! Should have ordered them instead of fish with chips. Not sure who said they are the best. Everyone has a right to an opinion. My suggestion cook you cod at home.

My husband and I were not impressed. Both of us have been to legitimate British Pubs and this did not cut it. Over priced and the cole slaw was served in a sample cup! A tablespoon of coleslaw! We were both suppose to have a side of coleslaw and only were given one. Only one tiny to-go cup of tarter sauce and one tiny to-go cup of cocktail sauce between the two of us! Fries were American and you could tell the oil was old. No beer on tap like most legit pubs and sodas are in cans. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't off the top that I would want to return. My wife and myself went here for lunch today. We waited nearly 30 mins for our food. There was only one other couple in the restaurant finishing up. As we started to leave, then the waitress brought our food. We sat back down. The food was far from good and I only ate a little. My wife finished her shrimp and left the rest of it. A upset man came out of the kitchen. I asked the waitress if that was the cook. She said yes and I told her hooked very dirty and should be cleaner. This may be a hole in the wall- but it is far from mediocre when it comes to the food! I had just seen Debbie and she told me that she was going to try them since she was all the way on my side of town and the next day- I found myself there for dinner. The dining room is small and there is bar seating. There is an order here counter at the back that we didn't even notice until we grabbed a seat at a table. My back was to it- so it took John several minutes before he saw it. Just in time for the server to pop out and take our order at the table- now she didn't say a word about ordering

Since Yelp Elite Richard H 'Big Rich" showcased this place on his Instagram i have waited for the timing to get over to the Beach blvd area to try them out. I love a great beer battered cod and knew this would be worth the drive and it was. I ordered the fish n chips and a shrimp n chips. The fish was flavorful with a light batter. The $12.99 fish and chips special is worth the money in my opinion. The batter is light. The fish flakey. The fries fell a little flat, I wish they were crispier and there was a bigger portion. But they were salted, so that's a plus.
We went in and placed our order to go, and while it took a little while, that's how you know it's made fresh. The staff was friendly while we waited and there is some british memorabilia to browse through as well.
I'm sad more people weren't in there, as we were the only ones, and reading the reviews that seems to be the case. Hopefully

London's Fish n Chips was recommended by a friend and I'm glad we stopped in for lunch today. We had the $12.99 Fish n Chips special and it was delicious, highly recommended. The fish was very fresh and lightly breaded with a delicious beer batter. Very tender and mild, cooked perfectly. The meal includes two generous portions of cod, and the coleslaw and tartar sauce taste homemade, I wish it came with more coleslaw!

We've driven by this place a few times and my husband wanted to stop by to grab a bite to eat. They were very helpful and friendly, even offering suggestions (and humorous banter) as we were checking out. We ordered ours to-go and the food had a wonderful fragrant scent on the drive home that I really wanted to dive right in instead of waiting to try it. The shrimps were well seasoned and super tasty. While the chips (fries) weren't as seasoned as the shrimp, they paired really nicely with the shrimp and came with ketchup that had a nice herbal blend to it and really gave more flavor

If I were reviewing solely based on the food, this would be a 5 star review. While I'm not from London so I can't speak for its authenticity, my fish and chips were delicious! The chips left a little to be desired but that's fine because my fish was awesome!
Unfortunately, after our first visit we tried TWICE to return but both times the posted hours here were not accurate and the restaurant had a "will be back at 5:00PM" sign on the door. Eeehh, I think you need to be a little better than this in Jacksonville to be competitive. It's not bad; if someone else wanted to come here, I wouldn't mind coming here again with them. As far as direct competition, I think the cod at Jax Fish Fry is better than this. Actual seafood favorites like Safe Harbor or Chowder Ted's are hardly worth mentioning, but also different.
This fish taco uses a ton of their coleslaw. It might be a bit much for some people, but I don't mind. I'm kinda on the fence about the sauce that comes with it though.

I've never been to the UK, so I have no frame of reference for what proper Fish and Chips should be so I'm judging this as a piece of beer-battered and deep fried cod.
As a piece of fried fish, the beer batter and fish was perfectly cooked. The batter was light and crunchy. The fish was cooked well, tender and flakey.
However, the fish needed some seasoning. It absolutely NEEDED the malt vinegar and tartar sauce. Both of which were excellent.
Again, I'm not sure if actual UK fish and chips normally rely on malt vinegar for its main source of seasoning, but the fish would have

I had lunch at London's Fish n Chip on Thursday, September 9, 2020 around 1:00pm. I was greeted by Gary, the server. He told me that the most often ordered item was #1 on the menu. Fish and Chips. It was a beer battered Cod with French Fries and cole slaw. It was served hot and delicious. I enjoyed my lunch there and would recommend it to anyone who likes Fish and Chips. The only downside was there was a smell of cooking oil that permeated the place when you walk in. But that is to be expected if they are cooking fish all day. It wasn't over powering, but noticeable. This is the best fish and chips place I've had in a long time... it's taken 11 years and multiple states but finally someone who knows how to fry the fish right, great portion size. Wife had the jumbo shrimp and they take 2 good bites to even finish one. The only thing it's missing is it needs to be on a bed of newspaper for true authentic fish and chips. My friend and I went to London Fish and Chips on a Saturday at around 1:30 pm for lunch. The gentleman who was there said he was from England but didn't have a British accent that was recognizable. (Note: I am married to a British man, I have heard a few.)

I purposely waited a few months before trying this place out to give them a chance to get things running smoothly before giving them a try.
For about $10, you get large ample pieces of crunchy battered cod (maybe 8-10 oz.) with fries and a tiny serving of slaw. The slaw didn't do much for me so I had no issues with the tablespoon serving size. The fries were ok but taking my order to go and having them buried under the fish left them a little soggy - to be expected I guess. I did appreciate them poking 4 holes in the styrofoam container to try keep from getting

Only open 7 weeks, so the lack of reviews make sense. The owner and his wife are very welcoming and happy to have you. I am not a big Seafood lover, but I do enjoy Fish n Chips, so I opted for the Beer Battered Cod Fish n Chips with a side of breaded chicken wings. First of all the Fish was fresh and absolutely delicious which matched well with their tarter sauce. The wings were plain seasoned & beaded with a choice of Ranch or Blue Cheese dressing.
