5 stars for both customer service and the massage. Came here with a good friend and we enjoyed our 60 min full body massage in the couple's room. We had a short but effective consultation with Yan. Told her exactly the areas of body that I needed extra attention on, and areas that I did not want to be touched.
The room was very spacious, dimly lite, clean, and comfortable. Although I didn't communicate with my massage therapist before the massage began. She checked with me on the pressure often and delivered it all. She applied the right amount of pressure with highly skilled movements. She also applied hot stones with the massage, the heat relieved my muscle tension and MAN, it felt amazing!

6 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 6 hours advance notice you will be charged 50% of the amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you what you want to wear. You should undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly draped during the entire session. The practitioner will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table, and cover yourself with a clean sheet or towel.

I had gone at least 2-3 times before for a couples massage with my partner pre pandemic. We loved it and never had any problems. Now, I agree with all of the bad reviews related to tipping. We tip 20-25% and think it's quite fair. Yet the host expects and pushes my partner to give $10 MORE!? It's rude and wrong. Would prefer that they charge $10 more for the massage then expect and push us to tip 30% or more! So rude and sad that we may never return.

I was going to tip 15.00 and the lady at the front desk hounded me for an extra 5.00 telling me most people tip 20.00 I was using a card so I already had to pay an extra 5.00 for the debit card. Plus i was not 100 percent satisfied with my service. All though they did an excellent job on my back my problem area is my feet. They put lotion on them and was done. I don't like to be rushed and we were rushed out the door. All because I only had 15.00 in cash to tip. Which to them was not enough. I would assume 15.00 in cash was better then 20 on a card. But I guess not.

I received a foot reflexology massage at 60 minutes and was told its $45, reasonable. After a great massage and relaxing experience and thinking how I would return many times after today. I proceeded to the front desk and told it was $50 and I could only Venmo, so now she’s taking away initially from my tip. So I left $55 via Venmo. She then gets loud by telling me the minimum tip is $15 dollars while other customers are in the waiting room. The best word to describe Yan’s Day Spa is “Wow”. The pandemic caused me to try Yan’s for the first time after patronizing about half of the massage parlors in Contra Costa County. The first thing I noticed was that Yan’s was incredible clean, smelled “fresh”, and followed all Covid protocols. Yan’s has two locations, separated by one block, and always seems to have multiple masseuses available. All of the masseuses which I have tried are very good, although I have my favorites.

I would put zero stars but yelp requires at least one!!! Do not go here! Rude, pushy and aggressive. If you get a bad massage they still require 30% tip or berate you if you don't!!

First and most important, I went in a week ago with mild back pain and have been at a level 10 with serious discomfort walking and sitting since (limp and all!). I have to now make a doc appt. Secondly, they will force, or try to force an undeserved tip down your throat. Im FAIRLY CERTAIN that this is the only pay the masseuse actually gets, so while it's tempting to give in, it also screams human trafficking. I didn't pull this out of thin air either. After an $85 massage, $10 was not accepted (and the lady used that language) because then she would need to pay the masseuse out her pocket!

I called for a same day 2 hours full body deep tissue appointment, they able to accommodate. When I got in they took my temperature which I really appreciate that they take our health seriously. Really clean establishment, and I can hear the air circulation/filter turns on every so often I definitely feel safe unlike other places I've been so far during this pandemic. They do require mask on during the massage. However their wall is not all the way up to the ceiling so you can hear everything outside the room and next room, and I have to remind myself not to talk loud when communicating to my masseuse

Massage was fantastic, good Covid protocols in place. Great " special" price on full body massage. I would have given 5 stars, however when a gentleman checked me out, My full body special massage price for one hour was $55 though he stated $85 was my total. I kindly mentioned the price would be 55 per the woman who checked me in upon arrival. He received my payment then proceeded to point at a sign on the checkout counter which stated what they felt the appropriate tip amount should be based on the "length" your service. I definitely have no problem providing a generous tip

I desperately needed a massage and was glad they were able to see me within the hour I called to inquire. I asked for the promotion foot reflexology and the front person insisted that I do a one hour private room experience, due to COVID. I asked if anyone else was in the room where they did the foot reflexology because I wasn't comfortable undressing and they said no, but still walked me into the private room and I just gave in, hoping for a great massage. So, my brother gave me a gift certificate back in December 2019 and I recently found it in my wallet So i went in to go redeem it.

Why can't I give this place more stars? Literally the best message since moving to California. I have been to numerous (really expensive and cheap spas). Just had a 90 min couples massage with my husband and wow hands down the best massage I've ever had. It was $70 for 90min hot stone massage with Kevin and Yoyo (?). I believe this is cash price. Everyone was professional, clean place, and cute location. Will definitely be back!

I am frustrated with this Spa. I called to inquire about a 1hr. massage for my sons. I was quoted $50. I specifically asked if my son paid with his debit card, the price was $50, and was told 'Yes'
