If you're looking for a wide range of Chinese food then this is your place. Everything tasted great and all the staff were friendly and attentive. Prices aren't shabby for the large portions and great taste quality you get.

I've been going here for over 20 years. They have expanded but could definitely use some updates in the restaurant/bathroom area. Food is always good. It comes out quickly and fresh.

Of I could leave no starts i would.
Sat promptly even though it was Christmas Day, order drinks came quick and ordered appetizers and food shortly after we got our drinks.
Got our apps in about 10 mins. Then waited for 45 mins after that until we decided to finally cancel our order and the waitress never even came back to refill our drinks!!! The only think she said after I said "ma'am it's been an hour" she says "I know oh well sorry" like no one cared the less I understand ure semi busy but what happened to customer service! I used to love this place!

I specifically went for the wonton soup and it was SO GOOD!!! I've never had Winston with shrimp in the dumplings, definitely worth a try. However, my boyfriend got the same thing and it didn't taste the same as mine.. when we asked for them to take it off the check (he didn't eat it at all) they were having trouble understanding that he didn't like it. It was sort of a big deal to them.. I mean we talked to three people until we finally spoke with a manager, and he eventually took it off. Service was good, food was better. Definitely recommend the Wonton egg noodle soup

Went with family for Christmas and got hotpot as well as some fried noodles. The food was not bad. Very good for family style type meals and sharing.
My only issue was that we were always missing things like utensils, extra napkins, and the rice didn't come with a rice spoon. The servers were very receptive with assistance though.
Overall, I would come back with family or friends.

A staple Houston Chinese & Vietnamese restaurant. OG of Bellaire Chinatown. You are morally obligated to the House Special Rice Cake. The menu is expansive and covers all the usuals plus hotpot and Peking duck. The restaurant is an open space and when busy can be chaotic. Take out is a good choice during pandemic times. While they have a big parking lot, it still gets full frequently.

Ordered the hot pot and lobster.
Do not recommend ordering this here
The lobster was not fresh and was drowned in
Chinese hoisin sauce to disguise its taste.
The hot pot barely has any meat or seafood ingredients. Those were immigration crabmeat. The squid was sparse and frozen too long so had no taste.

Always a nice spot when I go visit Houston. Good variety of Chinese-Vietnamese cuisine. Hours are convenient.
Probably the best radish cakes ever. Also their noodle soups are always solid.

It wasn't bad the bbq pork noodle soup was prity good but the ultimate wide rice noodle dish I had I was less than impressed with. I wanted to try a hot pot but they are not really intended for a single person and I was eating alone but still would like to try one day...

Oh my!!! This place does not disappoint. I have been eating here for many years and the flavors and quality have been consistent. My must haves every time are they rice cake appetizer. Add garlic, siracha and jalapeños to it and it is amazing!!!! They have whole fresh coconuts that you get to drink directly out of and eat the coconut meat after. The salt pepper fried shrimp with shell are another favorite of mine. Specially when you squeeze a lime into the salt and pepper bowl, and dip your shrimp. It's an absolute must try.

This is a childhood place to be to go after clubbing or just to go for late night eating. Food comes out pretty fast and there's always a table. All their dishes are authentic and delicious. Perfect place for family style eating for large groups and affordable. Menu is extensive and you should find something familiar and yummy. Must go to when you're hungry for quick traditional Chinese/ Vietnamese food.

The OG Tan Tan, I've been eating here since I was a pre teen maybe. Sadly the westheimer location near me close and moved so the Chinatown location is the next best. In my humble opinion no one makes a Banh Bot Chien quite like Tan Tan it is their house special fried rice cakes. The sauce that comes with it is necessary and I've yet to figure out the other ingredients they mix in there.

I tried their fried intestines which were really crispy a little fatty but over good beer food/snack. I enjoyed their snow or leaves however my friend didn't. I love their wonton noodle soup, bo

I tried this restaurant many years ago and wasn't impressed. A friend really wanted to eat here recently. I'm still not impressed. The food was just so so. No real flavor, didn't taste particularly fresh and definitely not something that I would race back to eat again in a hurry. The service was ok, nothing to be excited about. There are so many delicious restaurants in this area. This isn't one that I would personally recommend

This place is definitely a gem in Chinatown although some of the dishes are hit or miss but still good. The menu is extensive. You just have to know what to order! One of my favorite dishes is the walnut shrimp. The shrimp are HUGE and the flavor is spot on. The house special fried rice is also delicious. I would recommend the house special rice cake as well. Yum! I'm getting hungry just writing this review lol. Love that they're open late too.

Need a late night fix for some vietnamese/chinese cuisine? Tan tan is a restaurant that easily comes to mind. For decades (3 to be exact), this place has been a staple within my circle of family and friends. Especially for large parties, this restaurant can easily accommodate you.

So why the three stars? Food quality has dropped immensely overtime--and I hate to say this, but Tan tan is a shadow of their former selves. Most of my favorite dishes I typically order are a hysterically bad now.

Recommendations and Thoughts:
This place used to be the mecca for Banh Bot Chien (pan fried rice cake egg

My mom used to buy me their amazing chicken rice soup whenever I was sick as a kid. This place is super nostalgic to me and I still enjoy it today. Everything was great except the spring rolls, but even then they were just alright. Highly recommend :^)

Let me start by saying their service is trash, the waiter were impatient and rude. When I asked for when is my entree going to be ready, he looked for the food and told me if it is ready then it's going to be counter l. Didn't really tell me how long after I waited for 30minutes, I just feel very unwelcome

Now moving to the food, you know I'm already upset but I thought the food is gonna compensate for the lack of service. However, I was even more disappointed. I paid $30 for the sweet and sour pork, it looked nothing like it. You see the picture there's like barely anything

Customers: beware they are ripping you off.
Horrible! I paid for Green bean with pork and mapo tofu with pork. Got home 15 minutes later tasted it and no pork. Stirred up the whole boxes no ground pork. I called the manager said i can text you the pictures showing no pork. They said no and didn't want to fix their mistakes. Owner. Pay attention to your slacking employees. They're not working.

Definitely one of the best late-night meals in Chinatown, and you can get great value here, most dishes taste good, and it's in our regular rotation of places to eat after 10pm, and probably always will be as long as they're around, because they have a consistent standard, much like Fufu in many regards. Last post from last Thursday. Is it just me or does the staff make you feel like your are taking too much of their time. I know... time is money and You want to turn over tables. If you have ever been here before, you know they have a huge menu. It takes a while just to peruse the menu. We finally settled on Seafood Flat Rice Noodle and Green Beans with Pork.

Green beans had a slight crunch to them... pretty good.

Seafood flat rice noodle was good.

Tan Tan was one of the recommendations my friend gave when I told her I was coming to Houston, and it did not disappoint! For COVID reasons I decided to grab takeout from them, and though certain items were not quite as crispy because they weren't fresh out of the kitchen when I started eating, the flavor didn't disappoint. I ended up ordering the house special rice cake, salt and pepper squid, and the wonton noodle soup.

I'm so glad I gave the rice cake a chance. I'm usually not a huge fan of them, but Tan Tan's appetizer was delicious and flavorful. I loved that the

My dad loves this place, so we go here pretty often. It's a great place to go to when you have family coming in from town and you just want to go to a place that serves food family-style. Even just eating here with just family is great too. The vibes here are very much family-friendly or if you want to go and catch up with friends. However, just be aware that they can't split a check too many ways. I think they can only split it about 2-3 ways max? Food here is reasonably priced. The location is large and there is plenty of parking.

Usually when it's just my family who goes (there

Visited the restaurant about two weeks ago. Before stepping into the dining area there is a self serve thermometer station. The tables were properly spaced out. Our hostess was very friendly and helpful. The food came out quickly. The food flavorful and prepared nicely. I enjoyed the experience and will be back.
