Valerie's passion for Pilates and Yoga began when a congenital back condition slowed down her dance and teaching career. Seeing the benefits it brought to her health she completed her comprehensive and classical Pilates certification through Power Pilates and Balanced Body University while also pursuing her 200 hour yoga training.
Prices do not include workshops, specialty classes, equipment classes, private or semi-private classes. Receive 1/2 price on specialty classes and workshops with the purchase of any unlimited card. Private and Semi-Private classes can be mixed and matched to suit your needs. You choose the class you want session to session.
Pilates has been a great addition to my usual workouts (which did not include core conditioning). Since I started Pilates, my back pain problem has improved immensely. Valerie is a great teacher and I highly recommend her. Pilates should be an integral component of any physical training. Pilates is a great way to achieve better muscle tone as all muscle groups are engaged with every exercise performed.
A mat based overall body conditioning class that will develop core and back strength, increase flexibility, coordination and balance. For the body to be strong the core must be stable. Emphasis is placed on all the Pilates principles including proper alignment and breathing. No other class will give you a long, lean and toned body.

All the instructors at this studio are top-notch in their knowledge base, their teaching skills and their people skills. When I take a class with Val, Kelly or Eileen, I feel I've had a great workout and I know I'm doing things that are really good for my body.

With COVID, there is no shortage of streaming pilates classes and private teachers out there. You could probably access a teacher anywhere in the world if you wanted. I would still say Valerie is probably one of the best you will find. I started doing private zoom lessons with her on my reformer and on the mat a few months into COVID lockdown and I haven't looked back. She has an amazing eye and can notice small imbalances - that you're putting more weight on one leg than another, that maybe your foot position on the football isn't exactly correct - even over zoom. Core Pilates and Yoga is one of the best fitness studios I have been to. I have been training there for 3 years and the quality of their instruction and attention to detail is second to none. All of their instructors are great, and the reformer workouts with Val (the owner) are pound for pound the best quality exercise I have done. If you want strength and flexibility, stop in. They are also extremely conscientious and safe in these COVID times. Studio and online classes available.

Core Pilates and Yoga is the best place in this area to go for pilates AND yoga. I had the pleasure of going to 2 yoga classes so far and I will keep coming back. If you want a great work-out in mat pilates with Val or even yoga, this is the place for you! I also have done private lessons with Val since January and my posture has helped me stand up taller and my back pain. I owe it all to Val! If I could, I would rate this place a 10/10!!

I started attending Core Pilates & Yoga a couple of years ago for a free community class and I never stopped going. The boutique studio has high quality instructors and a comfortable and relaxed community feel. The regulars are like old friends and offer emotional support and lots of laughter. I recommend Core Pilates & Yoga to anyone looking to start a yoga practice or deepen an existing practice.

I've been taking one-to-one Reformer Pilates sessions with Master Instructor Val Patrick for over a year at this point. I've seen dramatic improvement in flexibility and strength as a result of incorporating Reformer Pilates into my workout schedule. Val is incredibly knowledgeable, a true professional, and fun to work with. Highly recommended. This has been an investment in myself and in my health that I am thoroughly happy to have made.

I've been going here for about a month and I've been really happy with my experience. There is a variety of instructors teaching yoga, barre, Pilates, and fusions of them. In the classes you'll find a mix of students in terms of ages and abilities so it never feels competitive or rushed. I've particularly liked the barre classes with both Tracy and Val - my quads are stronger already! The space is nice - well lit when needed and dimmed down for savasana. They have equipment like mats and blocks if you need them, and extras like water available if you need it.

While staffed on a project in Syracuse for several months, I took pilates at CNY Fitness with Valerie Patrick. I can't say enough great things about her. She is not only a wonderful instructor but a wonderful person as well! She's so sweet and patient, and really takes the time to explain things and ensure proper form. Working out with her was challenging but also fun. I learned a lot from her and have a huge love for Pilates now thanks to her! My job no longer brings me to Syracuse so I am now on the hunt for a Pilates instructor in NYC as great as Val! I miss working out with her and
