Goodman Harold, DO
I have successfully treated many thousands of patients (children, adults of all ages) over my career. Awarded the Sutherland Memorial Lectureship (2007). Each year the OCA (Osteopathic Cranial Academy) presents this award to someone chosen for their contributions to the profession. The recipients form the honor roll of osteopathy.

Dr. Goodman is an adjunct instructor, Touro University, California, College of Osteopathic Medicine. I want to reassure you that our office is actually one of the safest places you can be in such a situation. Besides my taking all precautions during and between patients, there will not be the typical waiting room group of patients for you to contend with.
Services
I began my journey as a physician in 1981 when I entered the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. While there I did a two year Fellowship in Osteopathic principles and practice which included teaching medical students and working in a specialty clinic. After my graduation in 1987, I spent a year doing a rotating internship at the South Bend Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend, IN.
Osteopathy can make the difference between a pregnancy from hell and a relatively easy one. Most of my pregnant patients do not have problems with morning sickness, back pain, hypertension of pregnancy, bloating, and other conditions which most pregnant women just take for granted. If a woman has premature contractions it is easy to stop them by using the body's own mechanisms.
If you think this is weird just wait 100 years and find out what they think of what we call medicine today. Osteopathy, as I understand and practice it, works directly with the patient who has a problem. Most physicians focus on problems or symptoms. The dominant model of medicine is to find what is wrong with the patient and treat those symptoms.
According to one of my teachers, Rollin Becker, DO, (1910-1996), osteopathy is the medical application of quantum physics. I totally agree after many years of working one on one with patients on a daily basis. The dominant model of medicine concentrates on evaluation ( blood tests, +) of patient chemistry and imaging studies ( X-rays, MRI, CT scans, etc.) which, of course, is integral to helping our patients.
In 1979 I found a book on homeopathy in a NYC bookstore entitled, Homeopathy: Medicine of the new man by George Vithoulkas. I bought and read it and decided that this is what I wanted to do with my life. I had no doctor so I located an elderly MD homeopathic physician near my parent's home in NJ. His office was in his home.

Dr. Goodman is a highly skilled osteopath who is also a very kind and caring doctor. I went to him when my wrists suddenly felt as if I had carpal tunnel after typing into the wee hours of the morning on an urgent work project. This was an old injury I thought had healed but suddenly returned, and anything I did that required my hands (cooking, cleaning, typing, washing my hair) caused serious pain. After a single treatment by Dr. Goodman the pain was gone again. Dr. Goodman knew exactly how to treat my skeleton to relieve the tension causing severe pain in my wrists. He also treated me for pain

Dr. Goodman is an outstanding doctor who has significantly improved my health and wellness. After an initial painless assessment and treatment, he reduced the duration and frequency of my headaches significantly. Prior to treatment, my neck clicked when it was rotated. After the initial visit, that clicking was completely eliminated. As an added bonus, though I did not mention to Dr. Goodman that I experienced lower back pain when exercising, that pain was noticeably reduced after my initial treatment. In subsequent visits, Dr. Goodman addressed issues with heartburn/GERD symptoms, ear drainage

I have been seeing Dr Goodman for relief of trauma after a meningioma surgery.
I was experiencing panic attacks which were erratically raising my blood pressure and making it difficult to sleep .
He has helped me regain myself physically and emotionally.I’m grateful.

Dr. Goodman has treated me over the last year, on a monthly basis. Each time I am on his treatment table I can feel my body healing as he used his deep understanding of the body and Osteopathic medicine to heal my body. I would with out reservation recommend Dr.Goodman to anyone who is in need of an Osteopathic treatment.

My family and I, including young children, first met Dr. Goodman 20+ years ago when our daughter (9 years old) was having gastrointestinal problems that were not responding to traditional allopathic treatment. He was highly successful in alleviating her severe bouts of pain, and we've been seeing him ever since.
My most recent visit was due to intense sciatic pain, the result of a muscle sprain after lifting a nearly 60 lb. bucket of dirt. After several days of intense discomfort, I drove myself to Suburban Hospital's ER. Three hours later, x-rays, and three prescriptions, I went home still in

Dr. Goodman is a gifted doctor and healer and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have the ability to be treated by him when I am not well. I have seen him off and on for more than a decade. The first time I went to him was to treat sciatica that I had during my second pregnancy. On my first visit I asked him if there were any exercises I should do and he said, "I know you are in pain but my treatment will heal you and you will never remember the pain you are experiencing." This was difficult to imagine at the time but after several treatments, he was absolutely correct. Since then
