From day one he held my hand through the entire case. Gave me realistic outcomes and expectations. Fought very hard for me and ultimately got me my freedom. He is extremely knowledgeable, fierce, caring, and goes well above and beyond what I paid for. I will always highly recommend him. Hands down the best lawyer I have ever worked with.
Steve helped me through one of the most stressful times in my life. By giving me excellent counsel, both legal and personal, he helped me achieve the absolute best possible outcome. He's a great lawyer and a great guy. I was expecting to get maybe 2 out of 6 of my charges dismissed and today we went to court and the great Houdini got all charges dismissed.

Any successful Columbus criminal attorney practicing court must have a number of skills in order to provide his client the best possible representation.
At the Steven S. Nolder Law Firm, we educate our clients about the Columbus criminal justice system, objectively evaluate the government's case, brainstorm the government's case with our clients, formulate sound and realistic trial strategies, craft motions that frame factual and legal issues that need presented, effectively represent our clients at jury trials, zealously represent clients at sentencing and revocation hearings, and represent clients on appeal, in §2255 litigation, and at international consent verification hearings.

Steven S. Nolder Law Firm have been representing clients from Columbus, OH and the surrounding area for more than three decades. Our skilled federal criminal lawyer is committed to protecting your rights and preserving your freedom. But quick action is essential. Reach out to us as soon as you are charged with a federal crime so that we may begin your defense.
Before charges are formally filed, many individuals are notified they are targets of a federal criminal investigation by receipt of either a grand jury subpoena or a target letter from an Assistant United States Attorney. A grand jury subpoena is a court-issued process requiring a person to appear before the grand jury that is investigating a crime.
If you are charged by either a criminal complaint or an indictment and you haven't hired an attorney, you need competent effective representation immediately. Our firm will critically examine the charging document to determine whether it states an offense proscribed by federal law and inform our client as to the nature and meaning of the offense(s) charged.
Once our client's case is indicted by the federal grand jury, it will be scheduled for arraignment. At this proceeding, our client will either enter a plea of not guilty or guilty.
Before a guilty plea is entered, our firm has engaged in some form of informal discovery with the Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting the case, we have disclosed this information to our client, and plea negotiations have been undertaken at the request of our client. Each client's decision is unique, but there is a common methodology and logic that applies in his decision to plead guilty.

Recently, my child’s father was represented by Joe Scott. I would give this firm no stars if that was an option. Joe Scott signed away the rights of a speedy trial without communicating this to his client. Joe Scott repeatedly messed up names of the victim, defendant, and witnesses. It was like he didn’t know the case. I do not feel as Joe put any effort into making sure his client has a fair chance of being seen as not guilty. Listening as an observer, was horrible. I know the members in the jury were as confused, when he would cross examine. Mind you, this case has been on his desk for a

Several months ago I made a bad decision in which the possible consequences of my actions could have harmed my family for years. I was in a very desperate situation. I contacted Joe Scott seeking help and advice. He and his staff quickly took charge and went to work to help stabilize my immediate personal situation and remedy my legal matters. Not only did he work with the presiding judge and prosecutor to resolve my case in an extremely favorable manner, he worked with them afterwards to clear up some confusion with my state’s DMV which could have resulted with some extremely harsh penalties

I recently had the pleasure of working with Scott and Nolder Law Firm, and I was facing a mandatory of 5 to 40 years in federal prison, I was honestly shaking in my boots, the cards were stacked up against me, but with the guidance of the staff and knowledgeable firm, I was able to get a sentence far lesser than my counter parts. I am very please with the out come and I would recommend this Scott and Nolder Law Firm to any one who has a legal problem, "any other law firm would be uncivilized".
