Effective 3/11/2021, Playtime was purchased by a new owner. They will continue to honor reservations checking in prior to 9/1. After that, the new owner will no longer be renting Playtime and will enjoy it with their family. Services
The private swimming pool is right off the lower level of the vacation rental. A 14' x 25' lighted swimming pool allows you to enjoy the water day or night. It can even be heated for an additional charge. A separate outdoor CD Player and speakers allow you to listen to music outside - or just listen to the sound of the ocean.
Every family has different things that make their emerald isle vacation great. We request feedback from all of our guests so that we can keep making Playtime better and better. We are constantly making improvements based on the input we receive. Here are just a few changes we've made due to suggestions sent to us by guests:.
We chose a different vacation rental every year - until we found Playtime! Everyone loves all the fun extras - and rainy days are still fun days. Most rentals are worn out and 'tired', but Playtime was fresh and clean - and when we came back this year, it was still fresh and clean. The owners really seem to take pride in this rental home!
Playtime has a lot to offer with a pool, billiards, arcade table, home theater, corn hole, mini-golf and a hot tub! But sometimes you just need to get out of the house (or away from extended family!) - so here are some ideas for some things to do nearby. You don't have to go far - many of these family activities and attractions are right in Emerald Isle or just over the bridge.

This was our first time to Emerald Isle and I believe Playtime Vacation Rental set the bar a little too high to go anywhere else. If I could give it 6 stars, I would! It was spotless clean and had all the amenities and more so that you'd never really have to leave. Imagine a little resort all to yourself with a pool and an oceanfront location. My kids were entertained all week and we still didn't get to do it all. I highly, highly recommend this rental. Janene was very responsive and booking it was easy and simple. Thank you and we hope to be back very soon!

We were so impressed with the house! Four families totalling 24 people ages 6-47 and no one was crowded or bored! There was so much to enjoy and so many extras provided. The beach, pool, hot tub, media room, karoke machine, margarita maker, etc etc etc made for an amazing stay. Janene was very prompt in responding and addressed any minor issue we had. We would absolutely stay at Playtime again!

We stayed at Playtime for a week and all 21 of us had an incredible time. The house has everything you need. Kids and adults alike enjoyed the game room, pool/jacuzzi, beach and balconies with ocean views. The elevator allows people with mobility problems to enjoy all levels of the home. The week went by fast because we had so much fun. Would love to stay again and definitely recommend this home for large groups. We only left to go to the store for more food/drinks. The home really had everything you need to entertain people of all ages. Thank you Playtime!!

We had an amazing week at Playtime with 21 people. 3 stories, ample bedrooms, bathrooms, and hang out space. Our 7 kids aged 4-15 spent most of their time on the beach, in the pool/hot tub, or in the movie theater or game room (pool table, pinball, and old pac man machine were all big hits). The adults spent most of their time on the third floor enjoying the large living area and incredible views from the deck. This house is spectacular and it is easy to spend the entire week there without leaving the grounds. There are a ton of beach and pool toys so leave yours at home. The kitchen is spacious

We just completed our 7th multi-generational stay at Playtime and this year was better than ever! From the porches with rocking chairs to the gathering places to the bright bedrooms, to the pool and hot tub, to the beautiful beach, each person in our family (ages 7-80s) finds joy in the house and location. Playtime is well stocked with kitchen equipment, movies, games for all ages, beach equipment, books & puzzles, toys, and everything you can think of. We had a lovely family vacation at Playtime. The owners were helpful from our first inquiry about the property. The house is beautiful with amazing views of the ocean. We found the house very clean and everything in perfect order. Finding the beds made, towels provided, and a welcome basket in the kitchen was a great way to start the vacation. The space was perfect for our entire family with rooms for all ages - media room, game room, children toys, pool, and rocking chairs looking over the ocean! We had a group of 5 couples with 7 kids under 5. We vacation together each year and always choose a different beach & house. After staying at playtime, next year will be the first year that we stay in the same house! The house was in great condition and seems well taken care of. The amenities were above and beyond what you would expect from a vacation rental. The kitchen was fully stocked with a ton of extras and we even found that the beach chair and pools toys were in great condition! We are so excited to stay at playtime again next year!!

We had a wonderful vacation at Playtime. It was all we had hoped for. There are many good things to say. The little girls loved the “purple” house. We liked being able to enter the bedrooms from the outside and not having to walk through the whole house to get to our rooms. It kept the kitchen, dining and living room areas sand free and clean. The kitchen is large and accommodates many people at the same time without crowding. It was well equipped, and we appreciated the two dishwashers and refrigerators, and many dishes to use. Our entire group was excited upon pulling in the drive. Playtime had great curb appeal, but we were all amazed once we got inside. It fit our needs perfectly - we had 3 small kids w/ us and various couples and it was perfect! We would def recommend this house. Ocean front - the pool - the movie theater room - gorgeous views - game room - huge kitchen - everything was wonderful! The kids still talk about missing the "purple house"!!!! Love the easy access to the beach as well & all of the amenities provided!
