Howell B. Anderson - President, General Manager, licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, began working with Sarah and Floyd "Tubby" Layton at the Funeral Home/Furniture Store in 1963. In 1989 we sold the furniture store. Sue M. Anderson - Office Manager, licensed Cosmetologist, began working with the company in 1978.
Making these decisions today allows you to make logical, thoughtful arrangements your family will appreciate, as well as allowing you time to tend to every detail. Pre-planning your funeral can be as simple and informal as the act of writing down your preferences and sharing your wishes with a family member.
There are several advantages in taking charge of planning your own funeral or memorial service. It relieves your family from the strain of making at least one set of decisions during a very emotional and stressful time. It gives you a chance to personalize your funeral service and makes it a "celebration of life."

My husband's extended family has always used Layton-Anderson when there was a death in the family so I've been there many times for visitations. When my mother passed recently, though, it was my first experience using them myself for a family member. I honestly was dreading having to plan everything, but Sue, Vickie, and Howell were all very kind and helpful. They made everything so easy and did not put pressure on me to buy the most expensive things but truly wanted to help me set things up the best way for my family. They really made a difficult process so much easier.

During a very sad and difficult time for our family, Vicki and Howell at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home took very good care of all of us by anticipating and providing for our needs in every way possible. They were thoughtful, concerned, caring, and made a
very emotionally difficult situation more bearable. Thank you to Layton-Anderson for helping us lay our loved one to rest with dignity and respect.
