Andrea began his career in Europe working in over 20 restaurants before opening his own restaurant in Barbaresco, Italy, where he earned a Michelin star for 10 of the 15 years that he was open. He originally is from Piemonte in Italy and grew up learning family recipes and techniques from his grandmother before attending culinary school.

He moved to the United States a few years ago, got married, and started a family. He recently moved to Sonoma to continue his private chef and catering business and start an artisan food business. Andrea's passion is cooking and it shows in the food he creates. Everything Andrea makes is from scratch including all of the pastas and focaccia.

Chef Marino completely exceeded our expectations! The meal was absolutely perfect from start to finish. He and his assistant, Michelle, were extremely professional and very flexible (we popped a last minute table location change on them and they just jumped right in and took care of everything with a smile).

If you are in the Sonoma area and want an incredible experience, I highly recommend Andrea! The food is fantasic, all handmade and bursting with flavor. Super friendly, always with a smile on his face, he takes great pride in his craft. Our family loved the the entire experience, from meeting Andrea and hearing his story, to the amazing food. Worth every penny!! Thank you Andrea!!

The food he prepared for us was amazing! The steak melted in your mouth. His hand made pasta was to die for! I would highly recommend. Our family enjoyed everything he made.

This was one of the best dinners I have ever had! The chef and his assistant arrived at our vacation home right on time. We had a 4 course meal and each course was better than the last.

We started with an egg soufflé - perfectly cooked and full of flavor! Then onto delicious, freshly made pasta in a butter and sage sauce. We next had beef with polenta. And finally we had a nut cake with homemade ice cream.

Oh, and we can't forget the bread and charcuterie. This was beyond delicious. And the focaccia was our favorite.

This was hands down the best meal our crew of eight well-traveled city dwellers ever ate. Chef Andrea and his wonderful assistant Michelle arrived and got to work preparing our Airbnb for a feast, taking total control and allowing us to all continue to relax poolside while they put together our feast.

We started with a cheese and charcuterie board, which alone was a stunner. Chef Andrea makes the most unique, complex, but very accessible cured meats. Even the least adventurous eater among us went back for seconds and thirds of the cured and shaved pork tenderloin! The cheeses were just as fabulous

Andrea and Natalia were absolutely FANTASTIC! We were in Napa with 14 people at a rented home and they came in and presented us with the best meal we could have hoped for. Both were extremely polite, kind and courteous. Andrea is a magician! From the hand made salami and breads to the desert - everything was perfect! I recommend Andrea for your next private chef event!

My family and I planned a visit to Sonoma to celebrate my mom's birthday, and wanted to find a private chef so we could relax at home one evening. We hired Chef Andrea for dinner this past Friday night -- and you can be sure we will hire him again the next time we are in town!
Everything was wonderful; he and his assistant Christina were so gracious and professional, they truly made us feel special in using the attributes of the home we were renting to create a lovely dining atmosphere. I am torn--do I write the review and share Chef Andrea with others?? He just left after providing an incredible meal for an 8-person dinner party. I was able to sit and visit for change, and I have not one plate or utensil to wash! The food was delicious, and the service was as good as any great restaurant. I would absolutely recommend him, and I will be using him again!

I used yelp to find a few options for a get together for 9 people and am so happy that we selected Chef Andrea! He and his assistant Christine were extremely professional, the food was absolutely delicious, the presentation was delightful and everything went according to plan. Me and my entire party would recommend Chef Andrea without hesitation and are already talking about doing this again.

We recently had a dinner party at our home that Chef Andrea prepared and it was utterly amazing. We had a tasting menu of three different pastas (all homemade) that were out of this world. His entire menu that evening was spectacular and we hope to have him again at our home very soon.

Chef Andrea Marino is the best! I am Italian and I have lived here for a long time but this was the first time I had fantastic Italian food outside of my own kitchen! Italian food for Italian palate, not an easy thing around here! The care and attention to each plate is remarkable, yet extremely simple and tasty because the exceptional quality of the ingredients is the key. Everything is made from scratch, no short cuts. Bravissimo!

Chef Marino cooked a dinner for my parents 70th birthdays that was phenomenal! He came all the way to Guerneville and was able to accommodate meals for both adults and children. The food was unbelievable and the service was impeccable. He and his server, Dan, were both charming and a joy to be around. I would not hesitate to hire him again and I can't wait to visit his new charcuterie store when it opens in Sonoma!

We celebrated a friend's 40th birthday in Glen Ellen and invited Chef Andrea to come cook for a party of 10 guests. He and his server showed up promptly and started preparations and used what the home had to set a beautiful table. Each course was nicely spaced out and he worked with the wine we had brought for the weekend and paired it with each of our courses. Oh! Wow! Doesn't even come close to expressing our satisfaction and happiness with Chef Andrea's talent. Piemonte's loss of his Michelin starred restaurant is truly Sonoma's gain. Every bite of his handmade salumis, pastas, and sauces was like little bites of food heaven. The lobster - ohhhh yeahhhh. And I'll wager you've never had a Millefiori, nor a chocolate Panna cotta, as luscious as he make. When he opens his new charcuterie in Sonoma in September you can bet we will go and buy.

Chef Andrea participated in a charity event I went to in May. The Porchetta he made was the best I have ever had! Mouthwatering! His pana cotta is simply the best! I have tried pana cotta is several places since and there is no comparison. I don't know how Chef Andrea does it, but no one can compare to his pana cotta

I recently had friends visiting the Napa Valley and thought a private dinner at home would be a nice way to catch up with them. Chef Andrea Marino delivered a phenomenal meal. We started with a salumi appetizers, all made by the chef, as well as his fresh baked bread. Followed by gnocchi with a duck ragu. The rich sauce and homemade gnocchi melted in your mouth. We then enjoyed roasted rack of lamb with vegetables, finishing with the most delicious chocolate dessert any of us had ever had. Chef Marino, the ultimate choice in fine dining at home.

Chef Andrea Marino is outstanding. He has cooked for our New Year's Eve dinner party for two years, and the dinners were fabulous from start to finish. His menus are inspired and creative. To a person, every guest thoroughly enjoyed everything he prepared. Chef Marino is the consummate professional and works hand in hand with his clients to create the perfect menu for the particular occasion. He has a lovely demeanor, which is an easy fit for any gathering.
