For as long as they can remember, the husband and wife team, Matt McNally and Laurel Timms McNally have dreamed of running their own food business. Laurel had extensive work experience in the hospitality industry on both ends of the Californian coast, and Matt's passion for cooking and restaurant experience started in his teenage years back in Boston.
In 2007, Laurel and Matt decided it was time to partner on their shared ambition to run a small catering operation in San Francisco. They made a modest investment, rented a kitchen and shortly thereafter booked their first client. With humble beginnings, Laurel's Catering was born. With a business model based on making clients happy by providing them with consistently excellent food and dedicated and attentive service, the business grew quickly.

With an emphasis on locally grown and organic foods, Laurel's sources each ingredient with the goal of bringing out the freshest, most flavorful, and well balanced dishes. Farmers markets, third generation butchers and expert purveyors that have proven themselves over the years all contribute in delivering the ingredients needed to create inspiring and creative dishes.
After years of working at restaurants and in the hospitality business, husband and wife team Laurel and Matt McNally opened Laurel's Catering in the summer of 2007. The focus of the new enterprise was to build a boutique catering company based on three principle areas: great food, elegant presentation and personalized service.
Laurel's offers long and short term personal chef services for your home, business or vacation stay. Our team of professionally trained chefs are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner services or anything in between (cocktail appetizer party anyone)? On-site chef preparations make it easy to enjoy delicious meals prepared the way you want without the time, hassle and expense of dining out.

Visited Sonoma from Los Angeles for my 40th birthday celebration and hired Laurel's Catering for a private home dinner experience with 9 guests. 5 stars is not enough for Laurel and her team. Our family gathered in Calistoga for the month of August and we wanted the safest meal option during Covid. Laurel delivered our dinners 2 days a week and we couldn’t be more pleased. We chose to have meatless Mondays and the choices were abundant and creative. We really enjoyed the falafels, bean salads, buttery mashed potatoes and veggie spring rolls . For the meat nights the saltimbocca, the enchiladas (made with beef tenderloin) and Jambalaya were spectacular. Laurel's catering was absolutely the right choice. We were staying in the area, and the hotel we were with offered a partner meal program through Laurel. Laurel set us up with an amazing meal, ribs to die for, potato salad that had a few pleasant surprises, and all the fixings to for along side. we were pleasantly stuffed, and saved the cookies for coffee in the morning, no regrets!

Laurel & Matt catered all the food for my 50th birthday party this weekend. They designed the entire menu to fit my taste and were so easy to work with. Absolutely amazing. Where do I start. Last June Laurel and Matt catered our "after the wedding BBQ". The food was out of this world. Truly, every guest was blown away. This was more than just a catering job. They took care of everything from food , servers, rentals and all the set up and break down. We live up a steep driveway so maneuvering tables , chairs, umbrellas and food was quite a task. They did it all from set up to break down.

We hired Laurel and Matt for a corporate retreat in Napa, and our company will do so again in a heartbeat! Laurel's Catering organized all meals, drinks, wine, and assisted in finding adequate lodging for our group ( as a wonderful courtesy). Laurel also went out of her way to arrange and reserve a beautiful wine tasting for our group at a local winery. Disappointing. I asked her for a proposal, she sent me a menu. I asked for a price, she sent me a confusing list of price ranges and additional fees. I gave her my absolute all-inclusive budget (service, fees, taxes, gratuity) and asked if she could do something within this limit. We came to Napa from San Diego and hired Laurels catering for our New Year's Eve dinner and it was also my friends 30th birthday. Sadly, Laurel was not feeling well and didn't want to get us sick but she left us in great hands with her colleague Justin.

I used this company to cater a small dinner in a private home. Although we had a formal contract in place, we did not receive what was promised. While at first the owner was very pleasant to work with, I was not satisfied with the outcome and cannot recommend this company.
In particular, I would not suggest them if there are dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, or hard time constraints.

We hired Laurel & Matt to cater a birthday party at our new home. They were exceptional from the first phone call and until the very end. The service and attention to details were superb! Laurel thought of things ahead of time & worked with me daily over the phone . The food was delicious - all my guests enjoyed the BBQ sliders, chicken, salads, appetizers! Her chef, Howard, took care of all the cooking, prepping, cleaning during the party and her server Vinnie poured the wine, served the appetizers, and took a group shot of the motley crew at my husband's 70th birthday party.
ALL of my guests complimented the food, and many of them went home with to go plates served up by Howard and Vinnie.

I was in contact with Laurel inquiring about catering for a Wedding in Stinson Beach, CA. Despite the distance and the fact that it was an outside event, I was really impressed with Laurel's Can-do attitude! In addition, I had contacted 4 other catering business in and around Stinson Beach and not one of them picked up the phone!
