Walked in, no one greeted me. I looked at some shoe choices, no one approached me, one staff member there, I asked a generalized question, was told to go to the counter and ask for help. Told the lady at the counter what I needed, she told me to have a seat. I sat there for 30 minutes and no one came. The floor staff left, customers left. I sat. Finally went back to counter lady, asked if it was better to make an appointment. Was completely ignored. Walked out. I have a strange situation and need two pairs of shoes, in different sizes. I had the pleasure of having Dot find the perfect size dress shoes which was not an easy task because of my foot problems. She went out of her way to stretch the ball of my new shoes, measured my foot properly, and I now know I’m a 7 1/2 WW and not a size 8! She was very professional and personably! Last weekend I wrote my first review that was negative, and I guess I'll just continue the trend. Walked into footprints today for the first time so I didn't really know the store layout or where products were. Still there for a few moments just inside the front door to let my eyes adjust and look around. So a few employees but nobody said hi so I kept looking for what I was after. Saw a small display of soul inserts so I headed in that direction and started browsing. This is my favorite local store to buy shoes for adults and kids. They have great service and carry a huge selection of sizes, including wide. They carry only quality brands so their prices are higher than a store like DSW. It's worth it to shop here if you need personalized recommendations for difficult feet!

I totally love this store! Everyone nice and have cute shoes. I always buy my kids and myself shoes here. I need comfortable shoes for my job and the staff there are very knowledgeable about feet problems, they suggested a better insert for my shoes and got into this device the measure your feet arch and match me with a great insert which it has been wonderful, feels walking in the clouds...lol

I went back again over the last couple of weeks. I had really very quick and professional service. Everything was explained to me in detail. The shoes that I bought were expensive, but what I expected to pay based on #1 my oddball shoe size (11 6E), #2 you're paying for the salaries of the shoe sales people who are/were helpful, and #3 my prior experience. COVID-19 era review: The staff was masked, and hand sanitizer was by the entrance. This is how shoe stores used to be--you take a number from the department, and they find your size. The kids department lets kids try out shoes with a slide/peep hole play area, perfect for testing size and keeping kids entertained as they wait. Sal was super patient with my rambunctious little one, who was a little wound up after the first day of school. Five stars for the guest service!

We came to the store this afternoon. We found shoes and asked the manager if the store price-matched. The manager said, "Yes", and she would run it by the buyer. The buyer gave us a hard time because we found the shoes in another country. Then, we found it cheaper in a store in USA, so we asked if this could be run past the buyer again. This time, his reply was "No". When we asked why, he said, "We don't price match." However, he said the store DID price match when earlier asked. I went on saturday with my 89 year old mom. She has a sensitivity to seems in shoes and I have 2 different sized feet. Tatyana spent over 2 hours with us bring out any thing she could. Her smile never left her face. I actually left with 3 pairs of shoes as did my mother. I have finally found a good shoe store. Thank you!!!

I've shopped at Footprints before and had a great experience, so when it came time for new sneakers I came back. Today's trip will be my last visit. After waiting for about 20 minutes for help, the employee " helping" me rushed through the entire process. I measured one size, but because I have an extra wide foot told me I should go up half a size. That size was way too big! He didn't even lace the shoes properly. Lydia was great and very patient as I tried different Birkenstock sandals. As promised, she called and updated me on her findings on the different sandals and availability. I took advantage of the Local Flavor coupon online of $25 for $50. This is a great savings. I find this store stock the more expensive Birkenstocks but I was able to order the one I wanted.

I'm sorry but closing at 5:45 means closing at 5:45 not 5:40. Door locked at 5:40 with a security guard letting the last customer out. I had to run in to grab one thing, not try anything on and it was an emergency. And to make sure all the customers were gone and door locked at 5:40 they most likely stopped letting customers in a lot earlier.

I wish I had better updates for Footprints, especially when they often have $25 for $50 groupons. But I don't. One of my biggest pet peeves with the store is that you walk in and there's never any way to get helped if everyone is busy. You end up waiting around for a while and hoping someone is around and notices you. The employees at the desk tend to be be more engaged with talking to each other than helping customers. It's incredibly frustrating but maybe some day I'll remember that instead of buying the groupons.

What happened to the vast array of women's shoes? Just went there today and there wasn't much to choose from at all. Everything that was there, I could have just ordered online. Went into footprints Newington Ct hoping to find a pair of toddler shoes
for my granddaughter. I was very disappointed in the service.Matter of fact I was totally ignored. There was 1 employee helping 1 lady in kids shoes, store was empty with employees in every department doing nothing. I was never acknowledged, not even hello may I help you , or I will be with you in a moment. I shouldn't even give them 1 star I will never go back.

My dad is in a nursing home. They have his shoe size on file from four years ago. They were able to ship his shoes the same day I called. They had the style of the shoe, his pertinent information and has always been accommodating when I come in to their store. So whether it's a shipment through phone or in-store you're in good hands.

I usually use yelp to find new places to try. Very seldom do I have an experience so terrible that I need to write a review. Footprints gave me an experience that I won't soon forget and have told all area people to beware of.

Well the shoe fits and it's from Footprints! So I needed to find a reputable shoe store that could properly fit a 9 Month old overachiever who is already walking....OMG! Well soon I'll be getting alot more exercise chasing after her because I think she'll be running by the end of the month.
So, I decided to go on a Thursday since they have later hours and they are usually swamped with customers on the weekends.

Well, the selection is fabulous, there is no denying that, but the store is pricey! If I'm here, you better believe it's because one of the semi-annual sales is going on. When the sales are going on, you can also find coupons in the local papers, which make it even a little more palatable.

The saleswoman didn't understand product. I need a good sneaker to walk and jog in and she insisted all sneakers at footprints were equal in function. I told her I did not want black sneakers and she continued to bring black sneakers my new balance out, when asked if she had another brand name she said now and then all of a sudden brought out a black Nike. She then was rude with me grabbing the sneaker out of my hand telling me she'll bring out a white sneaker but was huffing away and then I came to my senses, deciding I don't need this
