A hearing test is an evaluation of the sensitivity of a person's hearing across a full spectrum of sounds. It measures the softest and quietest sound that a person can hear. A hearing test is typically performed by an audiologist using an audiometer. The results are sketched onto an audiogram.
With adults and older children, the most common hearing test is called a pure-tone test which identifies even the faintest tones that can be heard at varying frequencies, from a low pitch to a high pitch.This is sometimes referred to as a hearing screening. Typically, the child or adult will wear earphones during the test.

Shawn said something to me that's never been said before. He said that my hearing aids, no matter how technologically advanced, are relatively worthless without a solid, quality aftercare program (I'm paraphrasing). Makes a lot of sense. I reached out to a few hearing centers and haven't found any to-date that offer the follow-up service that L2L offers. I got a 3 year warranty and a lifetime of tune-ups and adjustments. Too good to be true? We'll see but so far we're off to a good start.

My appointment with Shawn was great. Results concluded a hearing loss and, after a back-and-forth about my lifestyle, we talked about hearing aids that would work best for me. Totally no pressure consult which I very much appreciated. I'm thinking over my choice of hearing aid and will definitely go back to L2L. Highly recommended.

Got to the point that I felt that I needed help with my hearing. At the suggest of my ear/nose and throat physician I made an appointment with L2L for an audiology consult. His patience in explaining my hearing status and the solutions offered by his recommended aids was professional and precise. He placed aids in my ears that were programmed to meet my needs and sent me out for a trial run. The improved hearing was terrific. I was sold . Three days later I was fitted for my aids and given great instructions about their initial use and clean as well as any service needed. I could not be more satisfied
