First time at this place and I liked it. Had the Quesa Birria con Consommé and it was good. Can't say it was the best Birria but it was good. Of course it was greasy (lots of melty cheese creates grease) and the consommé basically was a cup of brothy grease. I've definitely had better consommé but nonetheless, I was happy with the tacos! I'd go back and try their other dishes.
Also had the Mangonada and it was delicious.

WOW!!! El Sampa ROCKS!!! Some of the best Mexican food I've eaten in my life, not just in Colorado!
I had the munchies after leaving LivWell dispensary & El Sampa was about 2 blocks away, so I quickly checked Yelp & saw their strong rating. I definitely had to try them. Almost felt like I was south of the border as I entered. Cool little bar & you walk up to the window & place your order. The kitchen was manned by 4 hard working ladies, that were quick to take my order & pump out my steak (Asada) tacos. 4 loaded street tacos for $8, which you can't beat! You know

Pretty warm inside - no AC. Decent hot sauce selection at tables.
Ordered sopes (chorizo and al pastor) - not sue which was which, but didn't really like these, even with hot sauce
Tacos (asada and carnitas) - these were better. The carnitas were really greasy. The asada was the best thing I tried.
Quesadilla - queso blanco, pretty bland.

Where do I start... ok we had two orders of chicken tacos and a smothered bean burrito with two
Horchatas. The chicken in the tacos was overcooked. Onions in the tacos were cut way too big about half inch cubes in some cases. Also the pictures on the menu show that there was some type of cheese on the tacos like crumbled cotija. No cheese were on tacos. $6.50 for a bean burrito. That's pretty absurd, then and additional $2.00 to smoother. Way overpriced. I mean I'd be willing to pay that for a meat filled burrito. But beans are one of the grapes foods you'll find and at $6.50 nope

Best taco truck in Denver (so far). Coming from California I was nervous about the Mexican good situation in Denver. I moved near Federal and my first goal was to find my go-to Mexican good spot. This is it.
They have tacos, burritos, quesadillas and totrtas which look great. The carne asada is delicious! I also get an al pastor taco with pineapple (the only way to do it!) and it's a must have.
The service is always friendly and they work hard to get the good out fast. If you see a big line be prepared for a little wait but it's worth it!
The final compliment is that the prices
