Maya and Jeff have both been tremendously helpful to me. I've always felt listened to and taken care of at the well (been going there for 8 years). Billing and records have always been comprehensive and straightforward to manage and they are both consummate professionals. Most importantly, I look forward to my appointments with them & have benefited so much from their expertise.

Cameron is an excellent therapist. I've seen many therapists in my life - some of them terrible, some good, some mediocre, but Cameron was the best. He helped me get to the core of my issues relating to childhood abuse. Although he is a couples therapist, I was not and still am not in a relationship. He helped me with my relationship to myself. At one point, I was traveling and we had sessions via Skype - it was just as good as face to face, if not better.

I'd say some of the negative reviews here are more reflective of those writing them than of Cameron. He was caring, attentive, and

I have been seeing Maya Johannson for several years and she has been so helpful as a therapist. We went really deep and unpacked every traumatic experience I could think of and every big mistake I ever made. Before digging deep in therapy I doubted myself as a good person, questioned if I was a bad person or harmful person, and I didn't want to hurt anyone or myself. I committed to dive deep and Maya came along with me and guided me in the healing process and understand from another's perspective what was really happening in my life. I am waaaaaaaaay more confident now that I know that

I am a practitioner who refers to the Well Clinic. The people who work here are truly professional and skilled. It's so wonderful to find a clinic that both properly screens and supports psychotherapists so that you know you are receiving the best care no matter who you sit in front of. Their professionals are well-trained, caring, and skilled and the service you receive is trustworthy. I'm so glad I have a place where I can refer people in the Bay Area. I highly recommend them.

The Well Clinic is a very special place. My wife and I have seen Maya at The Well for couples therapy throughout our relationship. I cannot recommend The Well enough. Therapy isn't just for those in crisis, we've learned how to communicate effectively, how to try to hear each other and to turn towards each other in hard times.

The Well Clinic is San Francisco’s top resource for expert clinicians. Their staff is diverse, well-trained and adept at helping clients with a wide range of mental health needs. What is great about The Well Clinic is their care and attention to making sure each person who seeks help finds the right clinical fit for their emotional needs and personality. With this dedication, I trust that any person will feel welcomed and cared for.

My experience with the intake team has been very similar to some of the other 1 star reviews on here. From the beginning it seemed incredibly transactional and sales-like.

When i submitted their web form looking to talk to someone, I was able to get onto my first call relatively quickly. From there, it just went downhill. The person I spoke to asked me some basic mental health history questions as well as some basic questions about the kind of sessions I was looking to have. This took about 10 minutes. From this alone, they told me they had a clinician in mind that would be a GREAT fit for me

Listen to call here: https://youtu.be/ouf5KZdC_uk My mother has been showing signs of mental illness for a while and lives in Florida. I'm an only child and there's no family or friends who can be contacted in Florida. I've tried to get her help however whenever I bring up her symptoms she then calls therapist in San Francisco stating that I need mental health services. This clinic gave me a call and I explained to them what was happening, payment was secured and wanted to know how best to proceed. The person on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. Living in SF is beyond expensive so the first red flag was that they don't take insurance. As a single mom they told me I qualify for sliding scale which was still on the pricey end. Trying to set up an appointment has been a nightmare since the intake call. They told me I would have to wait a month and was excited when they called a few weeks later but they seemed very pushy for a deposit over the phone while I was audibly wrangling my toddler. Did I mention I am a single mom. I asked for email follow up and they said sure, never got an email follow up. I provided them with the best times

Such a bad experience trying to set up an appointment here. I filled out the form on the website and they called me back right away (which was great!) and then I asked about psychiatry information and was told that I was "very lucky to have called" because despite being so very popular and busy they "might have an opening for me". She went on to tell me about how I'd have to spend $500 on what sounded like an application to be seen by their psychiatrist. I can't believe how bad this experience was. Even if you do have a very popular staff and the waitlist is long there

They seem busy enough that they don't care about the intake experience for new clients. I explained to the intake counsellor that I'd be able to do just the first appointment on a weekday because I was on vacation, but would need a weekend slot after that. It was only after I'd shelled out for the first appointment that I found out that they don't have any open slots in my preferred times. Well Clinic, be a little less aggressive about speculatively scheduling new clients.

I've been a client at the Well Clinic for nearly 5 years - working with Kate Finney individually and most recently with Maya Johannson in couple's therapy. Needless to say, I feel qualified in saying that The Well Clinic is an amazing resource with the most highly trained and talented therapists. I feel lucky to have worked with both Kate and Maya and can't recommend the Well Clinic enough.

Kate has been an incredible, trusted advisor and sounding board for me over the last 4 years. She helped me navigate a particularly challenging time and equipped me with the understanding I

Is there such thing as CEO therapy?! Working with Cameron has been a central part of my personal growth as a leader. He has helped me identify the areas in which I need to grow, change and unravel. I think that being a leader comes with unique stresses and challenges. Some executive coaches lack the psychological training that promotes self awareness. Some therapists lack the business experience that allows us to be on the same page. Cameron is the venn diagram overlap of both of those skills.

I cannot more highly recommend Eric Mill from The Well Clinic. My now husband and I were referred to him by a friend of a friend and now whenever I see her all we do is talk about how much we love Eric and how we miss seeing him every week! We started seeing him a few months before we took the plunge and he was beyond helpful with some pre-marital counseling. We continued to see him after our honeymoon phase (at my husbands' request!) and he really helped us get to the bottom of our recurring fights and work through both personal and relationship hardships. He is extremely easy to talk

I highly recommend Maya at the Well Clinic. My husband was hesitant to sign up for premarital counseling, as are I know many other partners not accustomed to sharing feelings with strangers. However, Maya made us both incredibly comfortable from day one. She really helped us to draw lines between different things in our lives and to say the things out loud that we should have already been saying (which I much prefer over the pushier "here's what you should do/say" approach that some therapists take). Her energy, neutrality, and calming/supportive demeanor opened those doors with

I highly recommend the Well Clinic. They are exceptionally well run, professional and I've received tremendously helpful care from Maya in the two years I've been having sessions there.

They mix online and interpersonal communications very well, payments are easy and bills are online when I need them and straightforward to get to when I need to submit them to my insurance.

This is more of a review of their intake process than their services, because unfortunately I never had the pleasure of actually scheduling an appointment. While the online appointment process worked well, it was the interaction with the reception/intake desk that gave me pause. They did respond to my online inquiry within a day, which was great. The trouble began when I called back to complete their 20 minute over the phone intake process.

First, I called and she couldn't conduct it at the moment as they had another one scheduled. Fine, so we decided to connect in an hour. An hour comes

The place is really nicely decorated, and the doctor was friendly and really listed to what I had to say. That said, this is more of a therapy/counseling niche rather than a homeopathic medicine scene. The doctor I saw just kind of looked at me, talked to me, and sent me on my way for a test - which all could have been easily done by my primary care doctor for $60 rather than $400 at this place.

Have a bunch of cash to throw at a therapist without insurance? Go here.

If you are a mother or care for clients who are mothers, then you might understand that a SEVEN (7) day cancellation policy for $170 per session compounds client stress and anxiety especially when caught by surprise with that finer detail at the first session halfway through introductions and you're booked for five straight weeks ongoing because that is the clinic's m.o. This alone is the mental block which prevented me from gaining much from the first (and last) session. The receptionist was surprisingly kind and accommodating with minor schedule changes setting up my first appointment

I've been to The Well Clinic once before and have worked with one of the therapists, Lexi Frank, in another clinic setting. The space is open yet comfortable and private, warm, inviting, and reflects the holistic and compassionate approach the therapists take here. From meeting several of the therapists I can say right off the bat they are well-trained, take an immense sense of pride and care in their craft and their desire to get to know their clients. Lexi Frank is one of the therapists I've had the pleasure to work with in a different setting and I can say her style of collaboration is one of

I've worked with Cameron for over a year as an executive coach while CEO of my previous startup. Naturally, I approached Cameron with a great deal of skepticism, knowing that:

a) Executive coaches have a history of being a colossal waste of time and money
b) Cameron's background as a therapist made me feel that he might not be fully equipped to help with many of the hard decisions I had to make as CEO

However when the ultimate responsibility of the company falls on your shoulders, at some point it was very clear that investing in myself as a leader was the most important thing I needed

I have worked with two counselors at The Well Clinic and have been really happy with the results. I found Cameron to be a very effective and positive couple's therapist, and I would not hesitate to recommend him. We worked with him intensively a few years ago to address a few issues that arose in our family. We are not able to make it to the Bay Area frequently so we often worked with him by phone or video (though I am not sure that is a service he offers regularly). Cameron listened attentively, developed a thorough understanding of the dynamics, and offered very specific suggestions and tools

I've worked with two therapists here. One for individual therapy and another with my girlfriend for couples therapy. On the whole, both experiences were really good. Therapy is not without it's difficulties and not for the faint of heart but it has definitely been worth it for me.
The office is sleek, modern, and welcoming. It's not like some of the other therapy offices I have been to that seem to be a bit run down.
This is definitely my go to place. I've seen they offer acupuncture as well so I am planning to try that for some of my insomnia issues.
