Services
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in adolescent, family, and couples therapy. I have extensive experience working with both adolescents and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, and life transitions. Music therapy has also been an integral part of my therapy practice and allows clients to communicate and externalize emotions in a safe and creative way.
Anxiety problems can sometimes be difficult to manage living in a fast-paced society with constant technological distractions. Adults and adolescents often lose track of how to self-soothe and become dependent on someone or something to help them cope during times of stress. This can lead to a host of problems, including relationship issues and various forms of addiction.
Interconnectedness is a very human trait. People are relational beings who tend to thrive in environments where they feel a sense of purpose and connection to others. However sometimes relationships endure difficult times, which can threaten the stability of relational bonds.
These "ruptures" in the relationship can be caused by a multitude of things, including lack of communication, variance in expectations, breach of trust, and compatibility issues.Therapy is an essential component in getting a bird's eye view of how various relationships e.g. Theorist and famous psychologist Murray Bowen was quoted as saying "That which is created in a relationship can be fixed in a relationship".

Transitions in life can come unexpectedly. By the time we realize something has changed, we often aren't prepared. Whether it is a promotion at work, sudden divorce, death in the family, or an unplanned pregnancy, life transitions can be very disorienting. These changes, whether positive or negative, may cause undue stress that can have a profound impact on one's daily life.
My fee is $180 per 50 minute session. I reserve a certain number of sliding scale openings for clients who cannot afford to pay the full fee. Please contact me for further details. Currently, I do not participate in any HMO/managed care insurance panels. However, if you use a PPO insurance plan, EAP, or HSA, I can provide you with monthly invoices for you to submit to your insurance provider for partial or full reimbursement.

It's a tremendous joy to recommend David Nobel as a therapist. David is warm, kind, and very genuine. He asks important questions to facilitate helpful conversation. It is clear that David has a variety of skills to help children, families and couples deal with the stress and obstacles of life. One of the best things about David is just how easy it is to be with him - you can tell from the second that you are with him that he is truly with you - present and listening. I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with David and highly recommend him as a therapist.

I have had the privilege of working along side David for nearly 5 years as a therapist. Throughout that time I have observed David's natural abilities to form authentic relationships and trust with the children and families he has worked with which have propelled their healing and progress in treatment. David has the capacity to pull from various models to meet the needs from a wide array of needs including his creativity and music in his work. David is thoughtful and compassionate about each individual and family he works with and dedicated to provide the help and guidance when in need.
