Services
Dr. James Massaro and Dr. Janet Lipman together own the Village Veterinary Hospital and have each practiced small animal medicine and surgery for over 35 years. They very much enjoy living and practicing in the wonderful community of Medford, NJ, where they have raised their two sons.
They both grew up in New York but attended different colleges; Dr. Massaro graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey and Dr. Lipman graduated from Tufts University in Massachusetts. They met as classmates at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduated in 1986, and married each other that same year.

We love all the staff at Village Vet. They have taken care of our furry family members for over 20 years and have handled every circumstance imaginable with compassion and love. We would never entrust our pets to anyone else. They treat all of our pets like they are family. VVH for life!. We've been bringing our dogs here for 15 years and have nothing but the highest praise for everyone here.

My kitty Zeus recently had unexpected dental surgery done by Dr. Andrew, & a week later started straining in the litter box. Fearing the worst, a urinary blockage... I called Village Vet debating taking him… there or North Star.... & after speaking with Dr. Perhman, reception told me to head right over. Zeus was thankfully not blocked! Dr. Perhman assured me that I was not over reacting by bringing him over, and I was so thankful she was willing to squeeze us in on such short notice. We all know vet ER trips are expensive! A similar situation happened last year with my dog Roscoe

I cannot express enough how happy I was with my dog's recent visit to Village Veterinary. This was our very first appointment ever here and I have to admit that I was nervous bringing him. He normally is very scared of being with other people when I am not with him. He does not go easily or pleasantly with them. The vet tech who came out to my car to get him was very patient and calm with him. He went right with her and when she brought him out after his appointment she was carrying him! I had never seen him so at ease with someone he didn't know when I was not with him. The doctor was fantastic

All of the doctors and staff are kind, caring and knowledgeable. They helped me get through 2+ years of insulin shots when my cat Buddha was diagnosed with diabetes. I lost Buddha a few weeks ago and a huge… grateful shout out to Dr. Pehrman who was with me every step of the way during this difficult time. She really went above and beyond.

For 25 years and counting, we know our family has been in the best hands possible in every circumstance when it comes to VVH's veterinary care. From the fun, happy times like when we first brought our puppies in, through well checks and sick visits, right until our saddest of times when we've had to say our final good-byes to our furry family… members. The caring never ends and has continued into the next generation with Dr. Andrew Massaro. He made sure to check on us afterwards to see that all was ok, i.e., that we were ok. VVH still proving to be the best! Sincerest thanks to the entire
