A dog's joint problems may result from a variety of orthopedic injuries and illnesses. In some cases, these vulnerabilities are partly inherited. For instance, certain small breeds such as Yorkshire Terriers and Pomeranians are especially prone to luxating patella, a dislocation of the kneecap that can be painful (although even giant breeds can develop this problem).

We have been bringing our dogs to Dr. Gang since we moved to South Jersey in 2001 and we can't speak highly enough of her. Her vast experience and genuine care for the animals that come into her office is invaluable in the top tier care that she provides. When my dog became ill two Januarys ago, Dr. Gang's advice while he was in the emergency hospital and after he was discharged honestly saved his life. Especially after that experience, I would refer anyone to her.

Dr Gang has been wonderful for our now senior citizen pup. We first scheduled an appointment for our newly adopted family member to be checked over but ended up with a seriously ill puppy by the day of the visit. Dr. Gang helped her to health and guided us with everything that we needed to know about a breed that was new to us. We normally visit once per year and Dr Gang seems to remember every visit that we have had. I highly recommend Hartford Animal Hospital.

A wonderful small animal veterinary practice. Dr. Gang and her staff care deeply for the animals they treat, make smart treatment decisions, explain treatment options to the owner clearly and thoughtfully, and do so at very affordable prices. So compassionate and available when I was losing my previous cat to lymphoma late in her life. Dr. Gang also saved my current cat from a near-death mystery infection due to what we believe was an infected spider bite in her armpit. I still take my cat to this practice despite living a 45 minute drive away, and wouldn’t consider switching. Best veterinarian
