Tony, the Owner of SMA is a Hands-On Certified Factory Trained Technician bringing a lot to the table, with over 37 years experience working with European automobiles, the last 28 years on Volvos only.
Volvo may want you to believe that your new car can go 7500+ miles before an oil change; however this is just not true. Regular preventative maintenance is a must when driving any car. As an independent repair facility, we suggest that synthetic oil changes and other minor services should be done every 5000 miles or 6 months, and major services ought to be done every year.

I needed a mechanic to work on my XC60 that I just had purchased. Tony was professional, knowledgeable and took great care in explaining all the work that needed to be done. Everything he did was spot on and all the work was justified. He didn't try to sell me on any service that I didn't need and I always felt comfortable in the work he told I needed. HIGHLY recommend! After having used several mechanics both with a dealership and without I came across Tony while searching for a Volvo specific mechanic. Per all the great reviews I gave Tony a shot despite being an hour north of me. I'm glad I did and know that I have found my forever mechanic for my Volvo. Honest, upfront and Fair. Tony was very professional from start to finish regarding the work he did on my XC 90. I called for an appointment and delivered my vehicle to him the same day. He diagnosed the issue and gave me a fair price for the repair up front. The next day he called to tell me my car was ready. The price was as he quoted. It was nice to deal with someone very professional and honest. I will definitely use him again for future repairs.

Met Tony through a forum. He was incredibly helpful and was willing to walk me through the repair, until, I realized his shop was a thirty minute drive away. I took it to him instead and never turned back to the dealership. He is Incredibly honest in his diagnostics and is fairly priced for his work. If you have a Volvo, this is the place to be!

Just got here from Cali in December. Looking for a place to service my volvos and came across Tony on yelp. Great guy!!! Very knowledgeable about cars especially the swedish temperamental ones. Contrary to popular belief everyone can't fix a volvo... Not even the dealers sadly. Anywho, Tony is an honest, solid guy who will be my mechanic until we leave Texas! I highly recommend him!!

I took my XC90 in to have the AC looked at because it wasn't cooling that well anymore. All Volvo dealerships in the DFW area were going to charge $150 and above just to take a look at my car. I gave Swedish Made Automotive a call and Tony was amazing! He explained everything and gave me a much better quote. I took my car down the same day to get it looked at and Tony explained AND showed me everything he did. Although my problem was not fully repaired, due to my lack of being able to purchase a new AC compressor at the moment, Tony explained everything to me in terms that made sense and was

I've been here a couple of times now and been very happy with the service. Tony thoroughly explained what was going on with the car. He showed us the worn part and a new part for comparison, which I really like! As I recall, the first visit was going to be a bit over the estimate...he called and explained how much over and why before proceeding. Reliable, reasonably priced service from a friendly, personable guy. What more could one ask for?
