We make every attempt to make your service experience as hassle-free as possible. We have been at the same location serving our customers since 1974 offering an array of services and assistance to help you with your automotive needs. If you're a new customer, finding out about a facility and who they are can help you in making a good decision for placing your trust in an automotive repair facility.
Since we are a complete automotive diagnostic and repair facility, we provide a wide array of services under one roof that many shops don't. Our 20-bay shop is divided into an emission inspection area, quick maintenance center, full service exhaust shop and a full service repair shop. We try to meet all our customer needs.

I think we would all agree that a reliable vehicle is a necessity. We have to get from point A to point B and, in the increasing pace of our worlds here in Austin, we have to do it fast. When your vehicle breaks down or needs maintenance, you need someone to take care of it fast. And finding a trustworthy, knowledgeable mechanic who won't try to up-sell you or who takes weeks to make the repair can be somewhat of a challenge.
We are a Texas AAA Approved Auto Repair Center. What does that mean? According to AAA: The AAA Approved Auto Repair program approves only facilities that meet the highest standards in vehicle repair, competency, reliability, cleanliness, overall experience and fair pricing. These repair facilities must also employ only trained, certified technicians, and offer timely repairs, convenient hours and courteous service.

I have used Mike, Nef, and Earl many times at B&B!
Exhaust, shocks, oil, brakes, alignment.... I see classic cars/trucks old Land Cruisers, my Lexus' - these guys are honest, and good at everything. Well worth the wait. They will actually bring you out to inspect their work! I won't go any where else. Honestly, and integrity are just two characteristics you will find. Shop around, they can't be beat!

I dropped in to B&B Muffler at mid-morning to ask about getting an oil change. They said it would be afternoon before they would be able to do it (first come first serve) and advised that I should call in the afternoon to check availability. I called at 2 pm and they said they could get it done in a couple of hours so I drove back with my computer so I'd have plenty to keep me occupied while I waited. In 45 minutes my oil change was finished! When I complimented them on their "under promise / over deliver" service, they said that the technician had put off his lunch break to

Usually I don't get overly excited about anything that has to do with car maintenance because it is not my area of expertise but B&B was so pleasant, I have to share!
I chose this service station due to location but I would recommend it to anyone. Their service is spot-on and I never felt like they were trying to take advantage of me by upselling anything. As a woman, it can be intimidating to take your vehicle into the shop but B&B is very approachable and they will explain everything to you if you just ask. My dad has been in the car industry my whole life and even he was impressed

In any kind of service related business, setting realistic expectations is essential. I leave this poor review because when I took my car in to B&B at the insistence of someone I know, I was expecting quality service as I had been assured. Unfortunately I did not receive this. I dropped my car off for an inspection around 11:55am this Saturday and was told it'd be ready "in about two hours." So I went and killed about two hours at a nearby restaurant watching sports but when I returned two hours later, the car hadn't moved, it was in same parking spot I had left it in. I

Honestly I've been a car enthusiast for many years and at times even turn to doing work on my car myself so I like to believe I know more about cars than the average person.

I brought in my old 1-ton Chevy pickup time have the catalytic converters replaced. I didn't make a reservation and I only had one day to get it done. They got my truck in that day, cut out the old ones, and welded in the new. They made appropriate recommendations for other follow up work but no pressure to get extra stuff done at all. Great service, fine workmanship, and a decent price. How do you beat that?

My parents and I have been taking our cars to B&B for as long as I can remember. Their integrity is without question.
I had my car towed to them after it broke down last week. I mentioned that I'd taken it to the dealership for a recall a few months back, but I couldn't remember what the recall was for at all. I've been a loyal B&B Muffler Client for 4 years (and 2 cars). I've had mostly routine maintenance performed with a few random issues addressed like brakes. They do state inspections too which is super convenient!
The quality of work is stellar, turnarounds are quick, and the service is trustworthy and straightforward. They're also local and family-owned. Nothing but good things to say from this happy customer!

Took my car in for some help removing a baffle in my exhaust because I couldn't do it myself. Earl was super nice and got the car up on the rack and a few minutes later he's telling me what I wanted help with had already been done by a previous owner. I was disappointed but Earl was great about listening to what I was trying to accomplish with my exhaust and made some great suggestions and quoted me some work. He didn't even charge me for getting it up on the rack. It's situations like this that earn my business.

So I just realized there was a response to my original review. While it was lengthy it was lacking all the information needed to garner a proper response. The information I presented was also very vague.
I originally called and requested a quote on the removal of a muffler from my car. Sometimes called a suitcase. And have a piece of pipe welded back in place. I received a phone call from someone with two letters for a name. He quoted me $250+tax. On a job that requires few shop supplies and very little effort. While I do appreciate your response I got the same job done at a different muffler

Based on good reviews, I took my truck to B&B Automotive, after my much-loved, reliable neighborhood automotive shop lost their lease to make way for yet another apartment complex on South Lamar. All good things go away, and everything that sucks endures forever. Thus, I landed at B&B.
My pickup was making a terrible noise from the front left wheel. The service advisor wanted to charge $60 to "diagnose" the problem! This charge is not absorbed into the repair price. A free brake inspection is typically part of any mechanical assessment. I suspect the service advisor just thought

I was new in town and my RV (my home), suddenly decided to barely move. They didn't have the space to take me easily, but made it happen. They explained what was wrong, fixed it quick and for a reasonable price. As a single gal traveling alone, it definitely brings a feeling of peace when you find someone who goes out of their way to take care of you.
I would highly recommend these guys for work and service! My dad would appreciate them looking out for me too!

The battery in my Toyota Tacoma was weak in the morning and dead in the afternoon when I tried to leave UT. A quick jump by the UT parking folks and I headed to B & B to get a new battery. The process was quick, the people there were friendly and professional. I half-watched from outside the shop as they replaced it, then went around and checked my tire pressures and topped them off as needed. They might have done some other extra checking that I didn't see. That's a nice touch.
I don't often need mechanical repairs since I drive so little and Tacomas have few problems,

Few things more random than driving down a desolate stretch of Westlake's Redbud Trail at night, with no street lights, and your car is suddenly engulfed in smoke & screaming in Swedish "DANGER! DANGER! GET OUT!" All the mechanics I know are way up north, and my AAA membership gives me 7 miles of free towing, with $8 a mile surcharge after. I took a Karma chance here and had them tow it to B&B, the closest facility approved & endorsed by AAA. It was 9 miles away, cost me $16, and I didn't have to accompany the driver.

Yall... I stopped in this morning for a state inspection. I had heard nice things about this shop. When I picked up my car, they let me know they topped off my fluids free of charge and to keep an eye on my power steering.
