In the 1970s, Jim Maguire began his career as an electrical contractor and home builder. After partnering with his brother, Tom, they expanded and started painting for a restoration cleaning company in Fairfield County. Over time, this evolved into a network of insurance adjuster relationships, which subsequently lead to more insurance work.
Initially, they did only small jobs. But, as they proved their competence, the jobs' size and complexity grew. Tom transitioned into real estate development and home construction and JP Maguire Associates was formally established in 1982 by Jim. Today, it's one of Connecticut's oldest and most established damage reconstruction contractors.
