The food here is pretty good for the standard fast-food Chinese. Han Xing is open on Monday and Tuesday, when others can be closed. There's a nice family who runs it. Place is clean with a home made sneeze screen and all the tables and chairs piled to one side.
Unfortunately... the other day a kid was working answering the phone and doing orders. He was kind of unprofessional on the phone. When I got there to pick up the order he had me give my phone # several times and had trouble finding my order. It was found finally and my total was $21. I asked if that was the right order because I had

I gave a terrible review here but can’t delete it for some reason so I’m updating. The food here has greatly improved. The chicken dishes are cooked very well and the orange beef has been spicy and tender and tasty. Maybe there is a new chef or new cooks I don’t know but we’re coming here more now. The sauces have better flavors. They seem to light fry when requested which is nice because a couple other places I order from never do and if you don’t know you can request that you can basically they don’t fry to where it’s chewy and the chicken is dried out so just ask to light fry.

Food was not good. My regular place was closed today so I decided to try something new. So glad I didn't spend more. Broccoli tasted really freezer burned and looked old by the discoloration. Shrimp rolls had a weird sweet taste to it, even with duck sauce I couldn't finish 1 roll and bought 2 😩. Thanks but nope

First of all I want to say Thank You to Han Xing for being open. Last night my wife and I just had that urge for Chinese and in the current state of the Nation suffering from the Coronapocalypse we called our regular take out place they were closed. So we called 3 other take out restaurants the first two we have visited in the past and they were also closed. So we tried one more before we forced break out the left overs, and Han Xing answered the phone. What a relief!!
When I got there to pick up our dinner the cashier greeted me a smile on her face and treated me fantastically!!

I’ve been ordering food here for a long time. My complaint is anything that is fried in a batter from here is not as good as it once was. At one time any of the fried chicken dishes had large pieces of chicken. The beef dishes also large pieces of beef. The food was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. For a while now I get tiny pieces of chicken and beef. Lots of batter and fried to a crisp. So crispy it’s not enjoyable to eat. When it’s over fried the chicken or beef turns to leather inside kinda like eating tiny pieces of wood chips. After last nights dinner I was left with

After over a year of being in the Portsmouth area and looking for decent Chinese food I am more than happy to I found this place. The food is incredibly delicious. The only issue that we ended up having was that my wife did not like the sweet tea. If you don't like lemon in your sweet tea don't get it but the wait staff was more than happy to accommodate the fact that it wasn't to her liking. The restaurant itself is very clean looking and very open and smells pleasent. This is my new favorite Chinese food place in the area.

Man this place really has gone down hill....they messed up my order a couple months ago and sent us chicken instead of tofu and we had to reorder. Then recently i tried them again after being a little weary and the fried rice tasted and looked like they straight up went to Walmart and bought some out of the freezer section and microwaved it. It isn't disgusting but there are plenty of better Chinese delivery places in the area

Before I even go into details about the food here, I must make it clear that it's a fast food Chinese joint...So let's not expect cuisine.
Now for the review; the reason I'm giving this anything more than 1 Star is because the main course food itself is decent. For example, the chicken with broccoli and the sweet and sour chicken had decent taste to it. The main problem with this place is the fried rice; it was BLAND, DRY, and just plain not edible! It literally tastes like you put a piece of rock into your mouth with no flavor whatsoever.
Suggestion is reinvent the fried rice

Bought my food from Han Xing last night. Wow! Must be my lucky bug week. My rice from Han Xing came with a 'free bug' (see picture). Just the other day, my wonton soup at GuanDong Restaurant also came garnished with a 'free bug' doing the backstroke in my soup. Wow!!! I should get my lottery ticket ....2 tickets, one for each bug, lol.

I don't live in the area but I happened to be in the Kemps River shopping center and this was one of the few places that wasn't closed or closed early on Sunday. Ordering was very easy. I placed my order, took a walk around the block, and it was ready by the time I got back. Service was pretty good. The roast pork egg foo young combo was above average for a Chinese takeout. Portion size was generous such that I nearly couldn't finish it all. They have proper fried rice as well, instead of the yellow rice that some places dish out.

I ordered for delivery and it came in 30min which was not too long of wait. I supposed to get 2 white rice but I got fried rice instead.
Food taste ok. However I got wanton soup.... with small ROACH was in it! I called them immediately and told them about it, they offered me another cup of the soup. Um no thank you!

Family and I was in mood for some good old Chinese/Cantonese today and it looks like I found a new Cantonese take out close to home! I ordered seasame chicken combo for my kids to share and I got the szechuan beef combo and wonton soup! It's very good! The wonton is made just right, not over cooked where some other places is a bit tough. The stuffing is made fresh and the broth is not salty at all. Szechuan beef or chicken is my favorite Chinese/Cantonese dish because it is packed with all these vegetables and I got to have lots of it in a dish! It had mushrooms, baby corn, snap beans, broccoli

This Chinese restaurant has gone through many changes since this shopping center opened up many years ago. My family has ordered from this place for years and no matter what it was called, they always served the best Chinese food.
This place has been Han Xing for a while now. I love what they did with the place. They took down the wall that separated the dining area with the ordering/waiting area. The space looks a lot bigger! It is also a lot brighter and cleaner. My family always takes advantage of the family special. We get a lot of food for a ridiculously good price. If you have a large
