Filing all needed legal paperwork concerning the death and reporting to the state and county. Obtaining medical examiner authorization to cremate (local medical examiner charge is $35). Placing the obituary on our website, Facebook and in any newspaper you wish (may incur additional charges depending on the newspaper).

My mother passed away unexpectedly, and I was given all sorts of warnings by other family members about dealing with my mom's cremation, as this was my first time handling affairs on my own. None of those warnings were necessary, as Dean was honest, present, and communicative - no upselling, no gaudy frills, and no strained sympathy - Dean was kind, straightforward, transparent, and best of all - down to earth. It was a simple and kind experience, which was exactly what we needed. Thank you, Dean.

My experience with Dean from Maloney funeral home was by far better than I could have ever imagined. During such a horrific time in my life, Dean was patient, sympathetic and helpful beyond words! He was professional and wrote a beautiful obituary and was always very easy to get a hold of, with any and all questions that I had. I hope that any and everyone gets someone as wonderful as Dean, when going through this difficult process of losing a loved one.

Dean was so kind to my family. My father’s remains were not separated as arranged by his funeral home in a different state. Maloney Funeral agreed to place his remains in his urn as well as help prepare the residual remains for shipping for burial free of charge. There is probably not a more kind or professional business you could choose to trust with your loved one’s memorial.

My father passed away in February unexpectedly. I called several funeral homes and most were corporate and I felt like just a number. When I called Maloney's I spoke directly to Dean the owner. He was very sympathetic and kind. He made everything so easy and was always available to answer last minute questions any time of the day. He asked a lot of questions and I felt he got to know dad and really cared. The experience was heart felt and he made an incredibly hard time easier.
