Anatoly helped me alter a suit for an upcoming wedding and it was a great experience! The prices are fair and Anatoly is very honest about whether an alteration is going to be worth the cost.
One thing to note is that he isn't necessarily going to make recommendations for what will look better or worse. I'd suggest coming with a photo or look in mind that you definitely want. In addition to the suit, I also got two of my pants altered here, and they turned out great!

Anatoly is a class act. Friendly, honest and does a phenomenal job. I brought a bomber jacket in that was way way too big. He told me right away once he saw it on me that it would not make sense to work on it. I appreciated the honesty. I went back with a couple casual shirts and a pair of jeans later that I needed altered. Everything went better than expected. Turnaround was quick and I could not be happier. Thank you!

I have been going to Anatoly's shop for about two years. He is the best tailor that I have ever visited. Over the years, I have used the services of several Italian tailors and I will say that Anatoly has performed superior tailoring to any tailor that I have ever dealt with. His rates are very fair and are less expensive than other tailor that I have visited.
I have had him tailor several quality suits and sport jackets and he has done some intricate and difficult work with precision. He certainly is a master tailor and certainly trust him with all of my garments. I highly recommend him

This is one of the best places to get your clothes tailored in NY. Outside of Sam Wazin in NYC, the only other tailor I use is Anatoly. He has his own way of doing certain things, but the decisions are drawn from his decades of experience in tailoring and I have come to always trust his judgement.

I went for a pair of pants to get hemmed because I'm short and the pants were way too long on me to the point that cuffing it would not look good. The pants came out perfect and just how i wanted it! Total price was 15 dollars which is not too bad. I will definitely be coming back here next time. Highly recommend!

Excellent Tailor. I took a one piece hunting (coverall) suit there that I broke the zipper on. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about which zipper to use. I supplied the zipper myself and he advised me that he would rather use a heavier zipper than the one I bought so I bought the stronger zipper and he installed it like it was never broken in the first place. Other places may have just installed what I gave them and I could have had the same issue again later on. Now I have a good heavy duty zipper like you get on a Carhartt jacket which I will never have to worry about breaking again.

I'm not one to leave reviews but I wanted to share my experience with Anatoly. His work is consistently excellent, price is very reasonable, and he is always willing to work with what you want or with your schedule. I would highly advise people to go to Anatoly for all your tailoring needs. There is a reason why myself and so many others have been 100% satisfied Dave about Anatoly, minus the one person who just reviewed before me. Though I think he may have been trying to review another tailor in the area since that has never occurred to me the countless times I've been here.

Worst experience I ever had with a tailor. Gave them multiple pants and was charged double what any other tailor would charge. The work was horrible and I took it back multiple times only to be disappointed with the work each and everytime. So far 1 pair cannot be fixed anymore since they shortened the pants way to much. The other 4 pairs will be taken to a new tailor tomorrow morning in the hopes I can salvage them. So far I have spent 200 dollars with them on tailoring and had to throw out 1 pair of jeans (cost of $100) with the rest up in the air.. I strongly suggest you stay away unless you

I brought a jumpsuit in to Anatoly for alterations. He was very kind, professional, and timely with his work. He clearly demonstrated skill and experience in tailoring and alterations, as he was able to provide feedback on how the jumpsuit should fit properly given my proportions. I've gone to Mr. Schneider's before for my more expensive clothing because I only trust him to do the work. Today I went to him with a major fashion crisis but realized upon arrival that his studio closes for lunch at 1 pm and I got there at 12:55. I apologized profusely but he gracefully told me it wasn't a problem and proceeded to discuss my debacle of a dress. He's altered many suits for me. All were perfect.
In addition theres a bad review of him by someone named Anna? She's quite wrong because he does tell people that if you want to shorten the sleeve length of a suit, for real buttons, there will still be a mark. I know this because I asked him to do it for me and he told me that.

Amazing tailor, I brought in an oversized pair of suit pants about a week ago (Had to be at least 3-4 sizes too big), and with an important event coming up in the next 2 days, met Anatoly not expecting much due to my extreme request and my late notice. He was very pleasant and helpful, and able to completely fix the pants within the 2 days and had it fitting PERFECTLY just in time for my event. I couldn't have been more thankful to Anatoly for his wonderful job with the pants, and I will definitely be back if I need any future tailoring. I 100% recommend his services to anyone who is looking for

I drive 40 minutes from East Meadow, usually in traffic to take my suits here. I am very picky when it comes to my suits and I usually require a lot of changes. I usually tell him to "take it in everywhere" as I enjoy a slim fitting look. I only trust Anatoly to handle my Hugo Boss suits. He has a very good eye and his level of customer service is fantastic. Was looking for a new tailor - if only for one job - since my tailor of many years had taken ill and had to be hospitalized. Since I needed my suit tailored for a wedding that was only a week away, I HAD to seek out a new tailor.

Anatoly is amazing and super friendly. He made alterations for my husbands suits and dress shirts and did an amazing job. He really listens and offers suggestions if you want. This is the first tailor in New York we've seen who is very skilled and not pushy with his opinions. Prices are very reasonable and he is always backed up with work.
You can tell he will not rush his work for the sake of quantity. He always has high end clothing hanging on his racks and is very trustworthy.
