Enjoy the beauty of the area on your drive over to stay with us. As you turn down the road off Highway 54 you will cross over a working Union Pacific railroad track but please be careful and stop to look both ways before you cross as this specific crossing does not have an arm or flashing caution lights.
Please maintain a slow speed down the dirt road as you will want to admire the landscape, openness and peacefulness that surrounds you and you will also need to watch for cattle that may be on or near the road. About a mile down the maintained dirt road you will enter through the gate on the left to find your relaxing home away from home.-

Mountain Springs Ranch RV Park is a multi-generation family owned and operated facility. Our story started in the 1950's when some of the land near the RV Park was acquired and run as a cattle ranch. Through gradual expansion over many years, and three generations later, we recently acquired the land around the RV Park to expand the cattle ranch and the purchase of the RV Park was included in that acquisition.
These sites are for our guests that just want to come camp or relax and not hook up to any utilities. These are great for tents or those that just want to get away from it all. These sites are only available on a nightly basis. These sites are for our guests that want to get away and don't need water/sewer hookups but still enjoy the comfort of electricity.
Here are some of the amenities we have right now however we will be adding more as we can. We have a clubhouse that's 2100 square feet with something for everyone. It currently has a pool table, foosball table, puzzles, board games and a couch to relax on. Our picnic area is currently being upgraded and will include picnic tables, barbecue grills and a horseshoe pit when complete.

The guy bait and switched me. He quoted one monthly rate and when I got there he quoted a higher rate. I made sure everything was understood and sent an email with pictures weeks ahead. He never responded to the email with anything in the way of an update. He didn't provide additional information in regard to requirements until AFTER he pulled the bait and switch.

Great park. Rustic and out of the way with perfect night sky's. Every evening you can hear the coyotes calling in the distance. The Park has clean restrooms, laundry, and a nice commons facility that includes a pool table. There is a Spring that feeds a small duck pond with a nice picnic area and plenty of trails to hike. Lots are spacious and clean. If you are looking a quiet peaceful getaway this place is great.

This campground is a rare gem. It's the perfect spot for those looking for full hookups, some site privacy and incredible sunsets (and sunrises). As other reviewers have pointed out there only a few amenities (Clubhouse, bathroom, shower & laundry room). The sites are spacious & very close to level.
I did a lot of hiking with my dog (as well as a fellow camper) There are owls in the spring area as well the resident ducks.
John and his family are fantastic owners & always took the time to stop & chat. It's only a mile from the highway (& train tracks) and neither were any noise issue for me. I

This place is a gem!! Beautiful RV Campground nestled at the base of the mountains of New Mexico. Sites are level and outfitted with full hookup if you want it. Loved the campaign they're running right now of picking the price you want to pay for the night. We woke during the nite to take in the majestic nite sky. It was incredible. Owners John and Shannon are very accommodating and helped us repair a small issue we were having with our tow dolly.

My husband and I, along with our dog, stayed here for one night as we made our way from So. Arizona to SC. Given that this campground sits on a working ranch, we were worried that it would be hard to find, but it really wasn't. One of the owners met us at the entrance and escorted us to our site. While this is a rustic spot, we had everything we needed: pull thru site with a full hook-up. The site was large and level. This is a very beautiful and peaceful place! We were treated to a gorgeous sunset as the sun sank over the mountains. If you are a stargazer, this place is for you! The facilities

We stayed at this RV Park the last of April. We went into the park planning to stay only a couple of days, but ended staying 2 weeks. The sites are long and wide and the view from your RV is something to behold. It is located away from Carrizozo about ten miles so it is quiet and peaceful, especially at night. The park has full hookups but only 30amp at this time. It also has a spring located in the park that has a large grove of cottonwood trees and is a nice place for a picnic with friends. The sunsets at night are out of this world. This is a good park for a base camp and has many places to
