I see a lot of patients with advanced periodontal disease or bone loss who have been wearing dentures or are embarrassed to smile. My visit to the office was a truly pleasant experience. Desk staff was polite and helpful. Dr Howanitz was knowledge, helpful, polite and informative (her assistant was amazing too!) The office manager Sara was awesomely helpful as well. All around great experience. I would highly recommend this practice.

I was extremely impressed with North Bethesda Periodontal Group. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Choudhary gave me expert care and treatment for a bone loss situation. He also is extremely kind and caring,and he and his assistants always made sure I was comfortable. He creates an immediate feeling of confidence that everything will be done right. And it was ! After the procedure was over Dr. Choudhary and the staff made sure I had all the information I needed for my post-procedure care. I found out around the age of 8/9 that I was missing approximately half of my adult teeth. The teeth would never come out. Every visit to the dentist was bad news. I feared the dentist and of course this condition impacted my every day life—from difficulty eating to my smile. I visited many dentists/oral surgeons throughout my life; always postponing because of fear, money and life events such as college and law school. Some dentists wouldn’t even take my case! I first went to Dr Choudhary to remove an implant that was placed improperly by another dentist. It was not fully within bone, but partially outside! This allowed minor movement of the implant, and bad positioning of the crown in terms of chewing pressure. So any crown over it eventually came loose -- I had to have the crown replaced 3 times in 4 years! Thankfully, I heard of Dr Choudhary. He removed the old implant and added a bone graft, so I will be able to get a new implant that I know he will place properly.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Khalid Choudhary for my periodontal problems. Initially, I had an extraction, then just last week, an implant. For all this, the appointments were easily made, and the treatments carefully explained and performed. He has an excellent staff. Being in the health care profession, I am in a position to know and I recommend him highly.
