Jorge Daskalakis paid a visit to the ABC 4 Good Things Utah morning program and showed how to make home-made dolmathes. This recipe, passed to Jorge by his mother-in-law, is straight-forward and easy to follow. Watch and enjoy. Lesli J. Neilson, food critic with Salt Lake Tribune, set out recently on a quest to find the best gyro in Salt Lake Valley.
Her quest took her through 35 restaurants and hands down, Dasks delicious gyros, made with care from the best ingredients, have left the competition in the dust. Ms. Neilsen said the following about the Dasks Gyro: Soft, warm pita filled with copious amounts of well-seasoned meat, small onion squares, liberal saucing of tangy, great-tastking tzatziki.

I hate doing this because I do love their food, but I don’t want this happening to anyone else.
On Black Friday, I ordered a pretty large order for me and my coworkers. I went directly to their website to order. Their website said they were open and available for delivery. I placed my order and even received a confirmation email. After 45 minutes my coworkers were wondering when our food would get here. The email did not give an estimated time so I called the restaurant to see how much longer. I got their voicemail that stated they were closed on Black Friday. Confused, I checked their website

Mediocre food priced as exceptional food.
Though it’s not horrible I ordered the pastrami burger combo for $11 I think and it tasted like it was worth $4. Heck the bun was about twice the size of the patty and the meat was waaay over cooked. I would not recommend going here there are far better Greek restaurants within a few miles. I would go to Greek City Grill over this any day.

I used to order from here a lot because the Greek Salads were the Best! and I totally understand about Covid causing issues with many businesses. However, I was very surprised at how poorly cooked, like to the point of hard to chew the chicken was in my salad and the pita was like card board. The greens were not very flavorful, wilted and tasted old. Maybe I returned to patronage the restaurant on a bad day, but I was very disappointed.

I love this place! My family and I live right around the corner and have been coming here for a long time now. The food and service have always been top notch
The owner, George, is the sweetest. He always takes the time to chit chat with my dad if he's there and makes sure to gives us extra sauces.
I recommend their onion rings! I always appreciate a place that has good onion rings and this is one of them. They're crispy without making the onion mushy. I also usually get the gyro platter with white sauce and rice and salad as the sides. Just as good as the onion rings.

Placed an on-line order, and was pleased with the results. Genuine curbside delivery. Food was ready on time...not early, not late. The order was well prepared. Gyro large and well sourced. Good falafel. Sides (zucchini fingers/onion rings/salads) were good sized and well packaged for a "to go" order. All-in-all, a good pandemic takeout experience.

Yummy and affordable. We got a falafel gyro to share and a side of french fries and salad. The fries are the bomb even though the shape varies depending on the day I suppose. The staff is patient and will also kindly answer questions and give recommendations when requested! They are quick at preparing fresh food :)

Delicious! I had the vegan gyro plate with salad and lemon rice. The vegan gyro was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Generous portion of hummus on a soft pita with cucumber, onion, lettuce and THICK slices of tomatoes...thick! So good!
Too many times from other restaurants I've ordered their vegetarian sandwich to find super thin tomato slices with a heap of lettuce and feel disappointed that they just didnt get it. To the vegetarian ...the tomato is the meat. We want something to bite into ...boy did the vegan gyro deliver!!! Thank you for understanding the importance of a thick slice

I love greek food and I was ecstatic there were vegan options on the menu. I got the vegan falafel gyro. So good, except I'm vegan due to food intolerances and allergies. I've been up all night throwing up with a horrible stomach ache. Not sure what creeped into my gyro, but it feels like dairy. Disappointed since I loved the food.

Somewhat of a regular here, mainly because it's close. The reviews that mention the over cooked or dried out meat are correct. They really could use some improvement on that. Gyro meat and hamburger meat especially.
The bread, and slalds are good and fresh and I quite like their fries when I allow myself to have some.
I would eat salads more often there if they would make their own ranch and slow down on the heat for their meat.

Maybe it was what I ordered as others I were with quite enjoyed their meals.
I ordered the DASK burger. Something simple. Ordered without onions, yet it tasted like it had been doused in onions as it cooked. The meat in the burger was rather tough.
Those I were with enjoyed a chicken gyro (only complaint too many onions), a soup (said to be delicious), and a Greek salad.
If you decide to eat here, likely stick to the Greek side of things and avoid the burgers?

I've now ordered food a few times from here on uber eats. One, because I'm a big fan of gyros, and two, because it is relatively fast, and cheap all things considered.
I don't love it. I don't even think I'd really recommend it. The gyro is just mediocre. I find it to be a bit too dry, and while the flavor is good, the dryness is just a huge turnoff. I'm a fan of succulent, delicious, melt in your mouth gyro meat, and I wanted so badly for this to be it....I have to come to terms that it is not. Lemon rice is bomb though, and perhaps that's why I've looked

Dasks offers decent quality though is lacking an authentic "Greek" taste.
If you want Greek food in cottonwood then it's your only option. They state they are "run by a Greek guy" though you really cannot tell from the results produced by the kitchen.
For example:
Don't use bagged iceberg salad mix for a Greek salad and then soak it in dressing. Take a bit more time to do it right and include the ingredients you would expect to find in one, like olives, tomatoes, and onions.
The pork souvlaki was inconsistent at best. Two skewers each with chunks of pork that
