Arteagas Food Center

This place is always over priced and under served. I've been here a few times because family likes it and i dont know why. This is legit white washed Mexican and so stingy on the meat. I ordered a steak burrito burrito bowl with no rice. The bottom was all beans I had less than an ounce of meat. I meal prep and KNOW what a few oz of meat look like. Unless they stop being so stingy with the meat portions i wont be back.

So far so good. The thing's I've had so far? We're very good. Although. I've only eaten twice there. Some maybe expensive? Like ordering a steak and shrimp super burrito with everything! I had French fries and 2 Sangria's to wash it down. Chips and salsa also. Almost cost me $40.00. I paid it! Yup! It was very good. As far as service? It seams to be a busy place? So you might have to wait a bit? Me? I'll wait!

I've been waiting for over 40 minutes and still haven't seen my 5 tacos yet, it's super cold in here and I'm not coming back.

Ordered a meal through door dash for pickup. App said it would be ready in an hour(?)

Arrived and it wasn't busy. Waited in line to ask about the order- it was ready. Why didn't they confirm its status through the app?

Cashier makes me sign a receipt before receiving the food, which is something you never need to do if it is already paid for through the app.

Now here's the kicker: the receipt was $16.99, but the meal through door dash was $8.99. I asked why, and she said it was a DELIVERY fee. Super shady scheme.

I've been here several times and they're Pan Dulce is fresh and they're prices are reasonable. Definitely will recommend to family and friends.

I'm very dissatisfied with the costumer service. My husband made a mistake in what I had asked him to buy. We called the store to let them know. There responded with they can't help or refund our money. I was not looking for a cash refund but to get the correct ingredients. Your more thank welcomed to reach out to me if you have any further questions.

I went to arteaga and bought pre cut coconut in the package. I was eating it and then I pull out a peice with a bite in it. I can not make this up. It also looks like a baby bite

Customer service is not great. I go when I know what I want because it is hit or miss for help.

Some coworkers got Arteaga's catering for lunch, and we had a set up of 3 types of tacos, salsa, onions, rice, and beans.

Of the tacos, the al pastor was the best. The carne asada was a bit gristly for me, and pollo asado was just ok. The salsa verde was great, though.

The highlight for me was actually the rice and refried beans. I usually try to avoid these and focus more on proteins, but these were both super flavorful, excellent with a squeeze of lime!

My husband picked up a "super burrito" for me from this spot, and all I can say is: it wasn't super at all.

I can't say anything about inside the place, or anything about the other food, but this burrito was literally one of the worst I've ever had.

To start, there was a tiny amount of meat. The tortilla was undercooked, and everything was... tepid, at best. The cheese was nasty. Everything inside seemed "wet"... there's no other way to describe it. It just wasn't good. At all.

It was pretty big, but a huge gross burrito will never beat a small

I ordered the carne asada fries and it was pretty good but definitely would recommend you go in person to order. I ordered on doordash and I went at the time I was told the food should be ready. They made me wait an extra 30 minutes for my food. Mind you I'm pregnant and was starting to get nauseous from hunger. I kept asking the lady at the register about my order and she told me I just had to wait. People that got there way after me were ordering and getting their food. I only waited since I had already paid for my food. Finally they gave me my food and apologized for the wait. The least

Order ahead of time and you won't be disappointed. They have great meal with a great deal. I usually order taco plate (carnitas) & cheese quesadilla. They have great selections of meals!

Weekend - try out their menudo so good!

It's a nice little place to come and do some quick shopping.. and in the morning you're able to get your hot chocolate or coffee along with some Mexican bread..
I recommend this place.. even though I didn't have time to fully go through the store

Great store with several selection of items. Tamales are good but a bit dry. The guacamole sauce is fantastic.

My go-to market for salsas and carne asada to take home and cook. We had a big graduation party this past weekend and it was the first time trying their pre-cooked meat trays. We ordered 15 lbs. of Carne Asada and 15 lbs. of Chicken. It was more than enough! We were able to place the order a few days in advance that week of the party and they had it ready by the pick up time as reserved. It was a little confusing though where to pick it up, whether it was at the taqueria itself or the deli meat counter inside the supermarket. Turns out it was from the taqueria haha. Definitely recommend coming

I did not have a chance to check out the super market, but the taqueria is quite nice. Ordered with their online order system (you need to call after submitting the order), and food was ready in time.

Overall the foods are all very delicious, reasonably priced with large portion.

I wanted to do something huge so I went ahead with a super burrito + 2 extra types of meat (their online order system allows decent levels of customization for your food). It was one of the most satisfying burritos in NorCal since I've moved back from San Diego in all aspects.

I love my neighborhood market. Its always have fresh produce and the meat dept. have reasonable prices. They now have a small deli area to get cooked items prepared. I love it.

To the Arteaga's catering staff thank you for the amazing food, amazing customer service and overall experience!!! Can't wait until the next one

Review is for supermarket only and not the taqueria inside. Arteagas also has a food truck near the Fremont DMV.

They have a huge meat selection, Mexican cuts and proteins, some already marinated. Always a line and cool to be able to talk to a butcher for your order and not buy it saran-wrapped already.

Unique offerings are Nopales "Salad", it's a cactus salad I use like pico de gallo with chips. The cactus is pickled and reminds me of the pickled jalapenos at the movie theater. They also have their own branded salsas and dips, all of them have some heat. They have branded chips

Wanting to order in, my husband and I searched door dash for places that have carne asada fries. We love carne asada fries but have not found our go to place to buy some in our area because we've found that every place we try has chewy meat or "fake cheese" as I call it (bright yellow liquid substance).
We ordered our fries and a burrito from Arteagas and being delivery, the food was of curse a bit cold when it arrived to us but it was STILL amazing.
The fries did not have "fake cheese," but shredded actual cheese all over and the meat was well flavored with a perfect

The carne asada super burrito is the BEST.I also love to order the carne asada torta. What I like about the torta is that it's not chopped meat but the entire piece of carne asada. Always order ahead got pick up especially during covid.

I used to enjoy coming here for the food because the quality was wonderful. However, I've been ordering from here recently and the quality isn't what it used to be. They sauce on the wet burrito has a weird flavor and doesn't taste like anything worth eating. The prices have also increased as the quality hasn't been the same. I'm always happy to support local, but I'm here for a good meal especially if it's charging my wallet a pretty penny.

Lol this is ridiculous. I placed a doordash order and in the comments I told them that there was no option to pay for extra sides of chips to ensure they didn't forget or miss out on the chips.

I had ordered a family pack of food and a whole side of guacamole and got literally less than 10 whole tortilla chips between two bags. Lol I love you guys but this is lame. :(

Unfortunately I was highly disappointed in my visit.
To start the parking lot was horrible to deal with.
As I stood in line waiting to be recognized I felt like there was not a care if I eat there or not.
I ordered a Carnitas super burrito. The price came to $9.78, so I assumed I would be getting a good size burrito. Absolutely was not the case. Now I went to the gas station to buy a drink and came right back. Waited for a bit. I watched them make the orders. Seen that a carnitas burrito was not being made, then she calls me over to pick up.

This place has mediocre tacos. The meats were served cold probably because they've been sitting out for too long and they lacked flavor. Some meats were also too dry. I particularly didn't like the cabeza and the beef tongue. Texture seemed off and I really didn't like the taste of the cabeza. The barbacoa and al pastor were just okay. The refried beans were also meh.

The shrimp burrito my husband ordered was better than the tacos. They give you a decent amount of shrimp and the slight char on the tortillas was a nice touch.
