Hi! I'm Laura, the person behind the camera. My love of photography began in high school, when I took film photography and developing classes. I put my camera down during college, and bought my first DSLR when my husband and I found out that we were moving to Germany in 2012. I quickly rediscovered my passion for photography and started Laura Karoline Photography in late 2012.

Overall, had a great experience! Booked a newborn session early in pregnancy. Then our baby came 5 weeks early and Laura was able to accommodate the unexpected schedule change. We enjoyed our newborn session--Laura is amazing at what she does. We were blown away by the final images. We would definitely work with her again and cannot recommend her enough!

We worked with Laura for our maternity shoot photos and were beyond pleased with the entire experience! Laura was quick to respond and flexible when rain threatened the day of our outdoor shoot. We had an amazing experience with Laura for a family mini session before my daughter turned two. Laura was beyond helpful--always answering my questions promptly, and even helping me narrow down wardrobe choices. My husband and I both tend to feel awkward getting our photo taken, but within seconds, we felt comfortable enough to stop thinking about it, and we just basically played with our daughter, all while Laura captured the magic! We love that in a short amount of time, she captured great posed photos, great candids, and really captured the spirit of our little girl. We will definitely be contacting

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Laura (newborn mini-session, with family portrait add-on). I loved how transparent she was about her pricing, and she responded very quickly to all of our inquiries from initial booking, to follow-up details about our photo shoot. Laura has a great selection of props, but also allowed us to bring a few personal items (blanket/stuffed animal) to get a couple of special shots. I cannot recommend Laura enough! Our newborn, in-home session was the best professional photography experience I’ve had thus far. Laura was able to work with the tricky lighting situation within our house and produce some fantastic photographs. The quality of the images was superior to high-end photographers we used while living in Manhattan.

We had our newborn photos taken about a month ago and Laura was great. I cannot recommend her enough. She was so professional and knew how to handle our new addition so well. She was so careful when wrapping him and our pictures were amazing. We absolutely love them and we cannot wait to have them printed. Our turnaround time for the finished product was quick and I’ve looked at the photos almost everyday. Anyone looking for a photographer needs to book Laura.

Working with Laura on our newborn photo session was simply amazing! She captured our vision perfectly and delivered gorgeous photos of our little girl that we, and our family, will always treasure.
