Coldwater Animal Hospital is proud to serve the North Ogden UT area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Val Poll, who is a licensed, experienced North Ogden veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
We have state of the art monitoring and surgical equipment to compliment the skills of highly trained surgeons. We recommend using the surgical laser used for all surgical procedures. Using a surgical laser can decrease the amount of pain and swelling for your pet and also aid in faster healing. Many medical and behavioral conditions can be prevented by having your pet spayed or neutered.
Looking for the right persons to join our energetic, efficient small animal veterinary team. Work ethic, reliability, teamwork and a sense of humor are basic requirements! Minimum CVA preferred, 24 months experience required.
Technician level skills needed for this to full time position range from surgery prep & monitoring & assisting, blood work, catheter placement, digital x-rays, administering treatment, dental cleaning & dental x-rays, exam room assisting & housekeeping.Customer service, phone & computer skills are a must!

In-hospital labs: There are 3 labs. You will need to contact Katie Shepherd after you have completed units 1-4 (or can project a time when you will). All labs are held bi-monthly on Fridays. The second lab will be after you have completed levels 5-10. The final lab is set as more of a job-shadow, allowing you to be as hands-on as the day and circumstance allow.
Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam, and will include teeth and gum cleaning if needed. Dr. Val Poll and Dr. Dave Shupe will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Coldwater Animal Hospital for service.

I was able to get my dog Lola in within a day where my regular vet was not able to get her in for 2 weeks given that my Lola had severe allergies she needed to be seen soon. Dr. Danni explained everything very clearly and educated me on the reason my pup was so itchy. I appreciated the time that she took with us, it was nice not to feel rushed through a visit. The price was comparable to other clinics. I am strongly considering switching vets due to this very positive experience. The front desk staff took the time to get to know my Lola and it was so appreciated. Thank you!

I had a very sick 7 month old dog who had been to 4 vets & hospital twice over a period of 6 months. We were so desperate for a answer that was actually correct. I took him to this clinic & he saw Dr poll. He did a wonderful job & the staff was great. The end result was very sad but at least we got to the bottom of the problems. This was the best vet clinic I’ve ever been to. Would absolutely go back for future visits.

We had a new litter of kittens and one was not doing well. They did everything they could to help him even though his survival would have been a miracle. They were so kind and considerate, and even allowed mama kitty and her healthy babies to be there as mama was very concerned. They did their very best and I will never use another vet due to this experience.

It is hard to put into words how grateful I am for the Coldwater Animal Hospital team who made room in their schedules, without ever having met me, for my very ill 14-year-old lab. Dr. Poll was very thorough and kind as she walked me through what was going on inside Indy and so compassionate as she explained the inevitable next step. Thank you, Kaitlyn, the vet tech, who met me at the door to the hospital to take and return Indy after his exam. CARING STAFF that you can count on to give your pet the love and care you would expect for yourself. Dr. Shoup and others did everything they could to help our little Dog Tattoo, but due to the seriousness of her illness there was nothing left for them to do.
