So far, my experience with The Mark has been above expectations. The rent and flat fee for nearly all utilities is really good and there's never an issue with parking.

The only thing I'll ding them on is their "climate control". In the 8 years I've been renting apartments, this is the first one I've seen that has a "franken-setup". Heat is controlled with boiling water so during the winter months, your heat will be due to a boiler in a locked room. Once spring arrives, maintenance will shut off that boiler which will allow the HVAC to cool more efficiently

The Mark has been my home for 3 years and let me tell you..... I like many people have lives in many places, states and traveled extensively and the reason I stayed at the Mark was simply the customer service not only from the sales staff, but maintenance and housekeeping. They run this relatively large complex-over 150 Apts. Like a hotel down to pick up, delivery, concierge amenities and dry cleaning service! You can even have them place your packages inside your apt. Especially when you are out of town!
The staff. They put out a monthly calendar with events throughout NOVA and they hold socials

In response to dog owner who was unhappy about not being greeted with unbridled enthusiasm, I for one appreciate that dogs are limited to certain floors and elevators. Not everyone is a dog lover. My current apartment building has dogs everywhere. There are constantly stains all over the carpet outside elevators, sometimes dog smells in the elevator, and barking from neighboring units. I have had a dog jump up on me and another slobber on me as I was leaving. I never had any issues at The Mark and I am happy that I will be living there again. It is very well managed and a great place to live.

Very disappointing apartments mainly due to getting issues fixed. No water for 6 days due to water heater breaking. Staff had us walking upstairs to other side of building to shower and use restroom. Then the water temp regulator went out and it's been 5 days or freezing cold or scolding hot water. Unbelievable and again no rush to fix the issue. Better apartments in area and can't wait to get out.

I have never lived at this complex, but this is about my experience with the sales staff, which was not good.

I'm not familiar with the NOVA area, but was looking for a place with good reviews, amenities, close to the airport, etc. After reading the good (and not so good) reviews online, I decided to give them a call to ask some questions about apartments. The sales rep who answered my call (Cassie) was friendly and answered most of my questions, then promised to email me with all the information and availability. The email never came, 3 hours later.

I called again and got the the assistant

Stopped to take a look as I got a job offer in the immediate vicinity.

I have a 10 pound dachshund that toured ICON and the STATION with delight from the sales staff.

They said that I should come back at another time w/o the dog as it can not go through the public area nor all the elevators, there's a dedicated "pet elevator". As the Mark does not allow dogs in the public area and dogs are restricted to the "pet elevator" due to possible allergy issues for other tenants.

If they collect a pet deposit and a monthly charge for a pet, that money should be put towards

My wife and I have lived at The Mark at Dulles Station for almost a year. From the moment we visited the first time to signing our lease the staff led by Sylvia Castillo are the best. They can't be beat in terms of professionalism, being very courteous and extremely friendly and they also respond to ANY issue no matter how big or small immediately. The building is well maintained and the maintenance staff is as good as there is. We went from living in a very large home to apartment life and we don't miss anything that goes with owning a home. We love our free time not spent cleaning and

I lived at The Mark for about two years, and the only reason I will not continue to live there is because I am relocating out of state. I have had an excellent experience living here. The apartments are nice, the two sitting areas/gardens are lovely, and it is convenient to everything in Nova. But I have to say what really makes the difference for me is the staff. The management team at The Mark actually really cares about your needs as a resident, are willing to work with you on any situation, and really make you feel welcome to come to them with your concerns. I have not had many maintenance

I just want to add on to my review. The reason why they require a parking decal... there are people who live in the other apartment complexes, like Icon, who park in our garage because over there they have to pay for a parking (for a second car) in their garage. So they come here and try to take up our spots because they want free covered parking. I know there are a lot of spaces still available now, but if this keeps up, I imagine they will start to take over the garage.

Also, as someone who has experienced more than 1 apartment complex at Dulles Station, The Mark is far better in management

I have to agree with the previous comments here about all of the negative changes since the new ownership began. Essentially, they took away all of the perks of living here. My biggest complaint is that the club room/business center is now open only until 8pm each day. It used to be open 24 hours. They have begun to allow private parties in this area, as well, making it impossible for residents to use the computers, printer and fax machine. Every day they are cutting something so that it is no longer available for the residents. Even though these apartments cost more, we thought it would be worth
