Westchester Meditation Center offers a sequence of courses providing an overview of the Buddhist path from start to finish, as presented by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Formed in 2009 as the Westchester Buddhist Center (WBC), but now the Westchester Meditation Center (WMC), presents the teachings and meditation practices as transmitted by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche with friends and neighbors in Westchester County, New York.

The Aligned Center is located in a complex of buildings next to the Irvington, NY, Metro North Railroad station. Irvington is a beautiful 40 to 50 minute train ride north of New York City along the East of Hudson line, and also within easy driving distance of I-87, I-287 and the Saw Mill River Parkway.
Join us as we explore the authentic path of meditation and insight as originally described by the Buddha and skillfully transmitted to the West by one of the great Tibetan masters of our time, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. We will explore such topics as the life of the Buddha, the birth of confusion and suffering, karma, and the path back to sanity, focusing on the techniques and stages of meditation and bringing practice into daily life.
In addition to dharma talks and meditation sessions, WMC periodically hosts visiting Buddhist teachers and other noteworthy speakers, movies and celebratory events. We will also bring to your attention other organizations' activities that might be of interest due to their similarity of spirit or content.
All teachers emphasize the qualities of experiential Buddhism, which develops as meditation practice deepens and filters into one's daily life. We take our direction from Chogyam Trungpa, Rinpoche, who was a Tibetan meditation master, scholar, and teacher who interpreted Buddhism for Western lifestyles and minds and who brought the Shambhala Buddhist teachings on creating enlightened society to the West.
These are recordings of live presentations. They are meant to serve as a refresher for those that attended one of these sessions, or for those that are too far away to attend one. Since they are live, they are a bit rough and also include periods of silence when folks are actually meditating. We hope that you find them helpful!
