Left a message but didn't hear back for 50 minutes when a driver said he was 2 blocks away. No one had called to say he was coming. He was really hard to understand and I had already arranged for another company to tow. I finally straightened it out and waited for the driver to come back. A no-show. I saw a tow truck in a parking lot a block away. I couldn't get his attention to see if it was the same company. He ultimately drove away with no tow so I suspect it might have been.
Ended up with Art's Discount Towing that got a 5 star review.

Horrible service. DO NOT GET YOUR BATTERY REPLACED BY THESE GUYS. They will rip you off. They installed a battery, next time I drove my car the battery died. I called several times to get a refund. They kept giving me the run around saying the manager was in a meeting or unavailable today... blah blah blah blah. At one point they want me to send them a picture of credit card to get a refund. I told them I was not comfortable with that and would like to drop off the battery to them and get the refund in person. Then, they said they were not allowed to give a warranty because already provided service

I booked the towing through phone, the agent said it costs $140. The guy who towed my car doesn't speak English and only speaks Spanish. This is fine if nothing went wrong. But before they put down my car at my house, the guy told me through google translator that this costs me $230, and said that sometimes the phone agent doesn't know how long the towing distance actually is. I explained that that's not true, since I gave them the pickup address and the destination when I booked the service, and I had the recording that they asked for only $140. I'd pre-arranged a tow, but I showed-up to the rendezvous point 5 to 10 minutes late. Guy had come and gone.
An hour later, Guy arrived, got my car hitched, and chatted with me on the way to Right Spot Auto Doc, which was about six miles away. We'd pulled into the lot, not knowing exactly where to leave my car--because there's a community of small businesses on the lot--but Jabu, the owner of Right Spot, came on out and let us know that we'd have to back into the lot. I was a little nervous, but Guy didn't break a sweat. He backed out of the lot,

I called them since my car ran out of battery. They said it would take them about 30-45 minutes to arrive. When they didn't, I called them and they replied "they were on the way". Finally, after 80 minutes of waiting, they showed up. It took them about a minute to jump start my car, and they charged me $135 for that! When I complained, they told me "I were too far away" (I was in Kensington! 10 min drive from Berkeley) and "the street was too narrow so they had to go back" (What?!). My car overheated and I needed a tow. I was one mile from my house and also one mile from their location according to my GPS. I called 3 times before I was given any help, because for some reason no other tow yard was open. The man who helped me did not give me a quote but claimed he would be there in one hour. One hour?!? I'm one mile from where you are! One and a half hours passed and nothing but by then my car had cooled down enough for me to just drive the mile home.

I was in a tough spot at 6:30AM on Thanksgiving morning. My car's battery died, I didn't want to wake the neighbors for a jump, and I didn't have cables on hand.
Thankfully Towing Berkeley was open. The tech came within twenty minutes of my call. He was super friendly, gave me some advice on replacing my battery, and walked me through the process of getting a claim filed with my insurance when he passed me the bill.
Sucks that I had to use them but I'm glad they're around. I'd definitely seek them out again for emergency auto needs in Berkeley.
