Retro meets contemporary here at our 1960's mid-century modern art hotel. From the fully restored pool to the A-shaped entrance & exposed posts & beams, it's the best of both worlds. True to our roots, Hotel McCoy emphasizes function & affordability - offering fellow wanderers local style & high-end amenities at reachable rates.
This is what we call Travel For All. Long before masks were in fashion & socially distancing was a thing, we made cleanliness our priority. Our ownership & management team are travelers first, hoteliers second. We know that the incredible ambiance & all of the fun perks we offer, like ping-pong & an on-site art gallery, are moot points without an immaculate property & spotless guest rooms.

My wife and I stayed here on New Year's eve an had a wonderful stay. They had activities planned and lots of indoor and outdoor space for entertainment. The staff is absolutely amazing and the vide is very welcoming. It's a one of a kind hotel that is very cool and special. We will be back for sure. I give it an A+!!!!

I've stayed here twice and can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely book a room on any future drives through Tuscon. Pet friendly, clean rooms with a mini fridge, amazing staff. Pool and outdoor fire place is a plus. Love that they have a bar and serve local craft beer! Also love that they offer a craft beer package where they leave a few craft beers in your fridge before you arrive.

We're a 'boomer' couple from Cincinnati, and are totally amazed at this clean and quirky fun and comfortable, safe and family friendly motel. You CAN believe all the other 5 star reviews. 'Also loved the gen- Y (? Did I say that right?) staff. It was as though our nieces waited on us. Yes, we'd definitely come back. We even made our family from Oro valley come here to see this secret gem. They loved it. Bob and Robin, Cincinnati, halfway thru a 3 week throwback trip. there's a bookstore, bikes too ride, treadmill, elliptical and free weights, and heated salt water pool! Ciao. :)

It delights me to know that Hotel McCoy exists. Upon reading strong reviews, we decided to discover Hotel McCoy for ourselves, and were elated we did.
Hotel McCoy is entirely wonderful. They provide travelers with a charming artistic space and unrivaled hospitality through an outstanding staff (Edward behind the bar, in particular).
My only critique is a matter of preference: the bed was a little too plush for my taste. I had the feeling I was sinking quite deep into the bed, which made me hope I had been resting on a firmer mattress. I have not researched, however, if the hotel offers guests

It has been months since I had the fortunate opportunity to stay at the Hotel McCoy for the first time. I was actually in the midst of a cross-country trip from Boston to Los Angeles. I had a camper but sure stayed in my share of hotels and motels as well. The Hotel McCoy was exceeded all expectations. Check-in was a breeze with informative and friendly front desk staff. They easily accommodated me with my unusual parking situation - a car with a camper in tow. The rooms were retro and comfortable. And in the midst of a pandemic (when. Most other hotels are cutting their services and dragging that

What a completely brilliant surprise! We were passing through Tucson needing a one night stay and stumbled upon this place. A renovated 1960's-1970's motel, it felt more like a planned mini vacation than a pit stop. Complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, and two welcome drinks (beer & wine)...and a live jazz band! Pool looked very fun. They feature local artists and host poolside movies when warm enough. Dinner recommendation was spot on. Definitely not your typical, bland roadside motel. When in Tucson again will definitely stay here multiple nights.

This place was good for a quick stay! The front desk was super welcoming and helpful. There is even a small bar in the lobby and gift shop where you can buy pieces from local artists. The reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is because the rooms could have been cleaner. There was hair in the bathtub prior to me even using it. There were also bugs in the kitchen.

MISLEADING/FALSE DESCRIPTION/NOT PET FRIENDLY!!! I am absolutely appalled by this "pet friendly" establishment. Upon arriving at 430am after confirming a late check in (we are moving from La to Texas)
We were turned away because apparently cats do not qualify as pets--only dogs. I am absolutely sickened that the manager refused to make an exception after the kind gentlemen who checked us in (he works the night shift and was extremely helpful, so thank you for doing your best) asked his manager/owner while telling her the situation and that we were desperate. I have never been so appalled

This hotel does SO MUCH right. Supporting local artists, having the most comfortable bed (someone please tell me what brand of mattress because I need one at home lol), excellent customer service, a free drink for 21+ guests, and so much more. The location is quiet and I barely heard any noise from rooms next door. My room was pretty clean minus the floor (bottom of my feet turned black after walking barefoot for a short time). Everything else was fantastic, such a unique and positive vibe. Will definitely return when I am back in town!

I stayed overnight on my way to California, it is not just a place to lay your head for a night but a fun experience! The staff is super friendly, the rooms are brightly decorated with color and art. The murals… on the outside walls of the building is amazing, there is a deck to sit and relax with morning coffee or evening drink. Be sure to enjoy their healthy Oatmeal Bar for breakfast! What I really appreciated was that they are pet friendly. I will definitely stay at McCoy Hotel the next time I am in Tucson !

The kidlet loved the bunkbed and breakfast Pop-Tarts. The adults loved the Presta coffee. The a/c unit was a little loud, but it worked great (a plus here in the desert).
I'm thinkin' we found a new Tucson home base.

We had so much fun staying here! Location was great right off the highway and we didn’t really here any noise, that may be because our ac ran all night which was fine as it was just white noise. The beds were… comfy and we all slept great. There was no duvet on the comforter just a sheet so I hope the blankets are washed after every guest. I didn’t see any blankets on the housekeeping carts.
The kids loved swimming in the pool and taking pictures around the property. The chalkboard door in the room is a fun detail and kept the kids entertained!

I loved my stay. The room was clean and cute with the retro vibes. The entire property was clean. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I felt safe which does not happen at most hotels these days. The murals… were fun and beautiful. I loved the food truck on site with great food. I have already made my next reservation. Thank you for a great place to stay while in Tucson.

Vintage vibe with modern touches. Art. Coffee. Beer. Wine. These perfectly describe this wonderful converted 60s motor court. We stayed with our two dogs, who were welcomed with open arms and dog bones. The bed was super comfortable and the room clean and recently updated in a retro style. The walls of the motor court feature stunning murals by local artists. Friendliest service and funky amenities. Plus free beer. This is a must stay on your next road trip to see The Thing - which is just 100 miles ahead

Such a beautiful, nice hotel! It was the most unique one I found in Tucson, so I decided to book it for my one night stay in the city. The staff was very kind, they went over their breakfast in bed style and offered me a free drink ranging from alcoholic to non alcoholic when I was checking in.
I loved the art all around the hotel and the vintage inspired room decor. My only issue was the whirring of the AC unit, it was so loud that I had to turn it off in order to fall asleep. To be fair, I'm a very light sleeper so this may not be a bother to others!

The value proposition of the Hotel McCoy is to provide a fun budget-priced lodging experience representative of the creativity and character of the Tucson community, and they succeed in doing so with flying colors. The Hotel McCoy is an arts-infused transformation of a once-sketchy budget motel that arguably is in better shape now than it's ever been. It's a true model for how communities can use their existing building stock and their local talent to create something extraordinary. We don't need to knock everything down and build new! Despite staying in a modest room that could

Hotel McCoy was such a neat place to stay. I loved the art on all the buildings. Although the room was small it was comfortable and styled nicely. The service was great and it was nice that when you check in they give you a ticket that you can redeem for a drink of your choice at their bar. Breakfast was easy to order and they bring it to you in your room. I really like being able to park right in front of my room so I found their parking spaces very convenient. The only negative thing I can even think to write is that the AC unit was super noisy. Oh and the immediate area around the hotel

Fun. Eclectic. Art Hotel.
Hotel McCoy is a rare gem. As someone who travels a lot and has spent a lot of time in a variety of hotels, have yet to encounter a property with so much unique personality. All of the art you experience on the property from in room murals to art hanging in the lobby are created by local artists. The bar program emphasizes Arizona wine and beer and breakfast is an oatmeal bar (modified to oatmeal delivery for COVID) that has many possible combinations as your mind can imagine. It almost feels like living in a vivid, colorful dream in which art comes to life for a brief

We checked in this evening and I can't love this place more than I already do!
I called today and spoke to a gentleman
Working the front desk to ask about late arrivals and if we had to do anything special. He was compassionate, informative, welcoming and helpful.
At arrival this evening the woman who checked us in was full of such amazingness she had us smiling ear to ear. She has a brilliant ability to build rapport in record time.
The room and entire place is adorable.
And I have two Golden's and they loved it. Walking them I had so much to look at!
The bed is so comfortable

What a neat place Hotel McCoy is.
The murals are what stand out immediately. So many colors. Beautiful artistry. Why don't more places do this?! Just don't hire the homewrecker that is now my "wasband's" girlfriend. Please. Two middle fingers up to her all day long.
Then there's the super nice staff members.
Tokens for free adult beverages.
The small pool looked refreshing, but we didn't partake as it was lightning and thundering upon our arrival, then we simply ran out of time.
