We were supposed to meet family but went to the wrong place so we decided to get a table there instead. We were seated right away. We ordered their Carbonara and the stuffed veal chop special and both were incredible. The pinot noir was very good and perfectly paired for my dinner. The menu is a little pricey but absolutely worth every penny. The wait was minimal for such a good meal, and the staff were friendly, attentive and quick to bring what you need. If it wasn't so far from home, I'd eat there every week. We will definitely go back.

Our server was a sweetheart, but other than that, everything was awful. The manager was extremely rude and showed no willingness to accommodate our simple requests (like can the football game please not be blaring next to our table, can the ac not be on when it's freezing outside). Instead he kept pacing anxiously next to us while talking loudly on the phone with his buddy about football bets. The hot water tasted like coffee, we had to ask for plain water and dirty dishes were left on the table far too long. As one of the only tables in the restaurant we expected better service. The management

Our server and the younger bartenders were very sweet but the management was truly horrible. On our way out we told the owner about our rude interaction with one of the managers and his response was "oh yeah that's my cousin, he's a recovering alcoholic." Then why is he working and why is that our problem? That's no excuse to be rude to your few customers. The food was also flavorless and one of our dishes was practically inedible.

We had a 7:15 reservation and they made us stand outside in the cold for over an hour, and didn't get seated until 8:20. We booked this reservation the weekend prior, and also made us confirm the day of the dinner, which gave us confidence that we would be seated in a timely manner. If we had known that we were to wait an hour outside, we would have gone somewhere else, but the host kept saying that we would be seated next, so we kept holding out. Once we were finally seated, there were multiple groups with the same reservation time as us, who were seated after us as well, way past 8:30. On their

Disorganized when trying to get seated. There was a crowd of people waiting right outside the door and no host to seat reservations. We had a reservation for 7:15 and weren't seated until 7:40 or so. The waitress was very kind and apologetic, however. The food came out cold and just wasn't anything to write home about.

DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS FROM YELP! The restaurant have stopped checking/receiving reservations made through YELP - The gentleman who was probably the owner of the restaurant says, he only checks the opentable reservations - which do not trust it, in my opinion...
Don't bother with reservations especially over the weekend... You get in line outside, like everybody else who made a reservation, by phone, open table or YELP... and you wait for your table... I don't even think he writes your name down or how many in your party but he does remember you... 45 minutes later, we got a table

Pretty good food, but rude service. We waited 20 minutes to be given menus, and when we asked for them we were told that the servers “knew what they were doing.” Multiple tables around us were served food before we even got menus. My friend was told by the owner to smile because she didn’t look happy enough. After we were treated rudely by a few different people, a really nice waitress stepped in and took care of us.

We traveled to South Tamworth, New Hampshire, by way of Boston, MA and then North Conway, NH, for the wedding of our niece to her husband. The trip was brief - Thursday evening to Sunday, but filled with family, fun, and some exploring.
On Friday we explored Boston, focusing mostly on the Freedom Trail. As dinner time arose, not knowing which of the many restaurants to pick from, our daughter searched and found another place. As we walked there, she noticed a sign on he wall noting that Massimino's serves wonderful

Excellent food and service! Loved speaking with the owner and learning about how he and his family went from immigrants to successful business owners (a true American story). A real gem just slightly off the beaten path, and they have a very cool wine cellar with bar that you can dine in as well. Highly recommend the eggplant appetizer. My husband and I will definitely be back!

Made a reservation hours in advance. When we got there, they put us at a table that was halfway into the kitchen. I asked if they could sit us somewhere else. "This is all we have right now". I heard good things. Too bad they alienated us before we even sat down. Can't comment on the food because we left, but when you take the time and effort to reserve in advance, and they seat you pretty much in the kitchen, that's just low class.

We went here for a Birthday Celebration for our daughter in law.
The parking is convenient, there is a parking garage one block over.
Our party of six had reservations. When we got there they sat us right away at a table out front which is what we had requested.
Our server was fairly new to the restaurant but did a fine job with such a big group. We all had appetizers, which ranged from calamari to eggplant and artichokes. Everyone was very pleased.
Many of us had entrees that were featured as specials. Two of us got the seafood fra-diavlo which was good but the calamari was a tad over done

Oh my word, this place was great. Had the special tonight, salmon in awhile wine and lemon sauce with a lobster ravioli on the side. Oh my word was that fantastic. Family also had the swordfish, veal stuffed with mozzarella and finally clams in a linguini sauce. Everyone was amazed. The stuffed veal had a dark red tomato’s sauce that was incredible I was told. All in all, we all left feeling satisfied and wanting to come back again.
Also, we got to sit downstairs. It was a small, very nice room with only a few tables and a bar. Great ambiance.

I've never tasted anything so horrible in my life. The food was cold. It was in an upside condition when I received it and tasted terrible. What a waste of time and money. Im very surprised that this restaurants quality has fallen to such low standards. At one time no restaurant could compare with Massiminos. Not only did I feel cheated out of my money and unsatisfied, I'm truly saddened and disappointed. I guess they will be another one of the good restaurants to mark off the list. So unfortunate . It was always a place to get excited about before you were going and you would

My go to spot in the north end! I love what they have done with their outdoor patio space. The food is always delicious, I highly recommend starting with the meatball app it's my favorite. Also my favorite espresso martini!! Great atmosphere the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Can't recommend this place anymore!!

I love a restaurant that has character, friendly and engaging staff, that treats you like your part of the family. If you like that too, PLUS home-made authentic Italian cuisine, then this is the place to go.
The pasta is unbelievably fresh, the sauces are to die for, the Barolo wine selections are fantastic and their charcuterie boards are out of this world!

Wanted to try a different place in the north end. Service was fantastic. Good menu selection. The pasta tasted better the next day for leftover lunch. The mussels didn’t do anything for me, maybe it was the sauce. The chicken piccata was ok, but didn’t wow me. The bread with oil, garlic, peppers was the best thing I had at the table. I probably would go back, but would try a different plate.

OK, so this was the first place my wife and I visited on our trip to Boston (beginning of November 2020). The other couple we were with really wanted to kick things off with "Italian" and this was just across the bridge from were we were staying (Charlestowns Residence Inn). The cool thing is that there were so many cool places that were all within walking distance from each other and not far from the bridge. We walked up on this place and thought it was "quirky" with the outside seating, night time and just different. We sat outside just off the street and it felt pretty
