Robinsons was opened in 1874 by John Henry Robinson and John Holden. In its early days it was primarily a general mercantile, what we might call a General Store today. Over the years, the business changed locations and owners several times, always retaining a variation of the original Robinsons name.
Robinsons Hardware in Hudson and Framingham is pleased to be The Metrowest region's #1 Propane Filling Station in the Hudson and Framingham area. We fill propane tanks 7 days a week, offer convenient hours and a knowledgeable, trained staff. Our staff undergoes an annual training program on proper propane tank filling and safety to ensure they are up to date on all the newest and safest propane tank and BBQ Grill tank filling procedures.
There are supermarkets, gas stations, convenience stores and drug stores that have cages with pre-filled propane tanks out front. The first part of the rip off is that you give them your tank and they give you someone else's tank. You could end up with a tank that is much older than the tank you gave them.
4. When transporting, always secure the tank in the upright position on the floor of the back seat. Never transport the tank in your front seat or trunk. Ensure the tank valve is closed and the valve opening is plugged or capped. 5. Use leak-detection solution, available at most propane retailers, to check all connections for tightness.

Was supposed to rent a trailer for a trip down to Florida. Reserved the trailer on Monday to pick it up on Saturday. Requested that an inspection be done and all maintenance and upkeep be done on the trailer as well. I was GUARANTEED that the trailer would be in good condition to avoid any problems. On Saturday we arrive, We paid our insurance on the trailer, and before we left we did our own inspection of the trailer to insure we would not be found at fault for any damages or marks left previous to our departure. If I could, I will give a zero star. I bought the stihl tools (almost $700) from this place. I found some cracks on one of the tool. I brought back to the sore
The services especially the manager ignored (not listen) my complains and yield at me. My tools should be still in warranty. This is the worst place you want to go to buy anything.

If you’ve been following my reviews you know the best place to do business is where people are involved and like working with customers.
Robinsons Hardware is such a place.
Needed a Honda Generator after an online order with a national company failed to arrive.
Called Robinsons....someone pleasantly answered the phone and happily found Jeff who let me know how I could back order a generator or there was a similar generator in the store.
Was in the store in about an hour. Needed to wait just a few minutes....Jeff showed me the generator and made sure I understood what accessories were needed

Today I sent to buy a ladder at Robinsons. One of the associates, Christophe, assisted me and then offered to drop the ladder off at my home when I realized it wouldn't fit in my small SUV. He then used the ladder to change the battery of the garage fire alarm, almost 12 feet high. I tried to get him to take a small gratuity, given how much he had gone out of his way to help me, but he refused. I tried to insist, but he refused. It's associates like Christophe who make bring home the importance of supporting our locally-owned businesses, rather than the big-box stores. With so many bad things happening

My Neighbor and I rented a slice seeder from Robinsons Hardware in Hudson yesterday. It flat out didn't work properly. Upon return He asked for a refund. Steve the rentals guy was uncooperative and difficult and made no mistake blaming it on user error and refusing a refund despite the fact that the yard guy agreed that it was in bad shape. Poor equipment, miserable service. Please boycott Robinsons.

I have had a really good experience with their Hudson branch. My Honda Lawn mower broke and I took it there under warranty. Steve took care of the whole repair process with Honda and got everything done under warranty all by himself. Got it repaired and ready pretty soon. I expected atleast 1-1.5 months but got it back within 2-3 weeks time. Very satisfied.
I had got my mower online but it's probably better to buy from local store like Robinsons as they will prep it for you ready to start with engine oil and all chcecks

Robinson’s is the best hardware store you will ever find! They go above and beyond for each and every customer, offering exceptional services and products. We called in our order and they called us when it was ready. When we pulled up, they brought our purchases out to our car and even showed us how to operate the equipment.

This is Paul Norton owner of Norton Outdoor Services. I’ve been going to Robinson’s since they opened. They are my preferred store for all my business and personal supplies. The staff is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. If they don’t have they will have it the next time or they will place an order for it immediately. Your satisfaction… is number one and they are a family owned business. Pricing is competitive and most are below the big box stores. The rewards program is a great benefit not found many other places. I’m glad they are here in Framingham.

Very friendly neighborhood hardware store. Their selection is amazing (so much stuff -- they have saved the day for me more than once!) Huge bonus is propane tank filling and small engine repair (snowblower, chainsaws, lawn mowers, etc). Pickup what you need for a Saturday project, and stop in next door at Lincoln Liquors for your post project celebratory craft brew.

This place is amazing. The largest selection of snow blowers I have seen in Mass by far. They were able to deliver my new Honda same day. The day before we got 8" and I needed it! I will be going to this store more often as they carry an amazing selection of hardware was well. They also have a huge selection of Honda mowers. This should be your stop way before any big box store.
