We're proud to offer a wide range of medical services at both of our Long Island locations. Sisselman Medical Group not only offers family practice but we also provide thorough and complete school and camp physicals. The safety of your child is paramount when our friendly. Many companies require that their drivers undergo DOT physicals before they are hired.
Call us to schedule an appointment, request refills of your medication and get any healthcare related information. We are here to answer your call Monday through Saturday. This is not a secure form. Please do not disclose your personal medical information. To discuss your specific medical condition, please contact your medical provider directly.
You may download, print and complete our New Patient Registration Packet prior to your initial visit. Please be sure to read and complete all documents in full. If your visit is due to an accident, such as Workers' Compensation or No Fault claim, it is important that we have all insurance information at the time of your visit.
Most insurances do not charge a copay but there may be a copay or deductible applied to the testing we do with a PE such as EKG, PFT (spirometry) and hearing test. Check with your insurance carrier and let us know if you want those tests done with your PE. When you schedule your visit, we will tell you when you should arrive and how you can prepare.

None of the doctors here are worth wasting your time and money on. They rush you out of the office and couldn't care less about actually treating whatever issue you have. I've been a patient here on and off for years just because of convenience in location. Glad I used zocdoc to find doctors who actually know what they are doing and actually care about their patients.

Yesterday 5/12 was my 1st visit to this office and I had a really great experience with Doc. Sisselman and Gena the nurse. Two stars are purely for the doctors whom I really like. It’s a shame I will be leaving this office purely based on the front staff but they are unbearable to deal with. Except for 1 woman, they all have negative attitudes especially when confronted with any sort of issues (billing, rescheduling, referrals etc). I am talked to like I’m disrupting their day (on a good day) but they’re nasty pretty much every other. They’re short, dismissive and easily frustrated. I have physicals with Dr Sisselman, but he is completely ignorant and he doesnt listen to patients concerns and issues. He always seems in a rush and didnt spent much time. When asked about medical consultation, he seemed annoyed and very rude. If you reach this review, please find another doctor.

I have NEVER experienced such un-professionalism from a Doctor as I did today with Jill Sisselman. I came in for a new patient appointment, as my insurance changed and I needed to find a new primary care physician. This was an appointment that I ended up having to reschedule because I came down with Covid and was in quarantine for the first appointment I had made. When I called to reschedule, I alerted the staff person I spoke with, it was because I tested positive. Then, I called a second time to see if I could get a closer appointment because I was having some lingering problems from Covid

I have been a patient of Dr Sisselman's for years after following him when he branched out on his own from EM family practice. He is always on time, professional and thorough. The office staff in both Commack and Massapequa are helpful and always get patients in on short notice. This is a great practice. I don't feel like a number and that's rare in medicine now.

Dr. Sisselman himself is great - he is very nice and pleasant to work with. However, the front office at Massapequa is a complete and total mess. Those in charge of the front desk and phones are specifically responsible for my moving to a new doctors office. Calling the office is stressful because you know no matter who picks up the phone will be rude, snippy, and annoyed that you called to ask a question. PA Elizabeth always listens and truly cares about her patients health. So much so, I'm sure I am not the only one that wants to follow her directives because we know how much she cares about us. There is one woman from the front desk staff that is always so rude and has the worst attitude. I feel bad for the others that sit with her. This rude front desk staff person is the reason I am moving to a different practice. Regardless of the reason I call - prescription refill, make an appt, a random question about a medication, etc, this person is rude and trite and just unpleasant with her responses. The worst doctor I've ever seen. He's overtly obnoxious and could care less about you. He's blatantly self-serving and money hungry. You're in the wrong field. He's a typical snake who charges you for tests and then tries to hush you up in a threatening way. Maybe you should be transparent in the office about your hidden, mystery fees! You rarely get to see an actual doctor here. Mainly PA's run the practice. Dr. Stephen Sisselman is arrogant and not a very compassionate or caring doctor. He seemed bothered that I asked him to help me figure out what had been causing the 6 months of tightness in my chest and heart palpitations. He literally told me that all of the specialists that I had seen couldn't diagnose me because they just didn't want to tell me that the only real problem I had was that I was overweight. He said this with such disgust and all in front of my 11 year old son who was with me at the appointment

I never give poor reviews but this group deserves one. I wish I could go give a rating in negative. Rude doctors and no sense of time management. I was given an appointment for 11:30 for a simple renewal of prescription. I came on time and waited for half an hour in the room with no indication of when things will happen. I went to a nurse to ask when the doctor can sees me since I had to get back to my little kids. Love this office! The staff is always friendly. The office is clean and tidy. The PAs are wonderful. I have been going here for 10+ years. I even moved out East and still continue to drive nearly an hour back to Commack to get my physicals and for other visits. I never have a problem getting an appointment, a referral or a return phone call for a question or problem.

I have been going to Dr. Sisselman for what feels like forever. I want to say over a decade. I have had to see other members of the practice due to his busy schedule and they are all amazing as well, but Dr. Sisselman is always my first request! I was on vacation visiting family in the Commack area and came down with a sinus infection. I needed to see a doctor to get some antibiotics, and Sisselman Medical Group was nearby. They were very accommodating, gave me an appointment the same day, and had me in and out in less than 30 mins.
While I don't live in the area, I can highly recommend them for anyone that does!
