Wayside Sewing

I came to Weyside's open sew classes on Wednesday mornings over the summer and learned so much. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I went from barely knowing how to use a sewing machine to pretty much completing a large complex quilt in just two and a half months of weekly class time. They have a great selection of gently used sewing machines for sale at reasonable prices and good variety of fabrics/other sewing supplies. If I didn't have to move out of state for school I would still be there on a weekly basis.

They couldn't fix the ancient Elna, but only because parts are no longer available. Very helpful.

I have a horse blanket business and needed new equipment. The staff were so wonderful in helping myself and my staff to choose what would work for us. We are incredibly satisfied and highly recommend Wayside Sewing!

Very nice and welcoming! Lots of hard to find notions and tools, much better quality fabric than you'd find at a chain store.

I am not the person who writes reviews, especially bad ones. My terrible experiences with organization compels me to warn unsuspecting customers so they can avoid the same problems that I have had. Unsuspecting, I bought a "gently used" Bernina from them that had been "cleaned" in preparation for resale. It worked for a short time but all kinds of sensor issues began to appear. I called to inquire about getting the certificate of purchase from the original owner so that I could send the machine to Bernina and get repairs done under warranty. I had the most unpleasant discussion

Wayside sewing is a gem.
They serviced my older model, second-hand machine, fixed it right well, but, they had in stock the newer model version so I could just buy that, take it home, do the job I needed to do, and now I have a machine and a back up machine that are both fantastic.
Friendly as all get out, and I was never made to feel out of place, despite not being a stereotypical "quilt shop" customer.

I don't really sew much, but I do have a machine and do use it to make repairs and do small craft projects. So when I broke the last of my machine needles and needed some advice about needles for another project I was trying, a friend recommended I go to Wayside. They were very helpful and steered me in the right direction. When I got home, just out of curiosity I looked up the needles on Amazon. Wayside's price was better. What a nice surprise.

Great staff is always help. convenient for necessities, less option for by the yard fabric then a place like JoAnn. Definitely a shop rather than a store. I have found some gems there and the location is easy to find and in a beautiful spot

My wife recently brought in her sewing machine and Serger for tune-ups. She was more than pleased with the results as well as the quick response time. Many thanks for the wonderful service provided.

I've been to quite a few fabric places during my sewing career, and by far, the owner & employees here are the kindest & most helpful out of every store I've visited. I am not a quilter, but an apparel artist. They didn't care & even went so far as to offer to ordet fabric for me?
I HIGHLY recommend Wayside & I wish they were closer to me.

Service and sales are both excellent. I am new to sewing and Wayside has provided reliable information, an excellent sewing machine as well as support to ensure I am getting the most out of my purchase. Looking forward to working with them again as I continue to learn new sewing skills.

Always helpful and patient. They're very skilled too so not only do they have a good selection of machines and fabric and notions but they also help with projects. I really enjoy coming here.

These ladies are the best! Really top-notch customer service. Their extensive knowledge and helpfulness will make your project go more smoothly and they have a wonderful selection of fabrics, machines and materials on hand. Be sure to stop in at the bakery next door while you're there -- so good!!
