Services
Canyon Creek Day School is an independent, private preschool and kindergarten in Plano, Texas. The school was founded in 1968 by Claire Tubbs, and originally located in the Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, Richardson, Texas. It was located in the educational wing of the West Plano Presbyterian Church, 2709 Custer Road, Plano.
When we consider it, children learn to understand and speak a language before reaching age three. We need to continually expose them to new ideas and new experiences. It follows that one of the greatest gifts we can give our child is a preschool education at a top quality school. There is security in knowing what is expected and at what time.
Starting school is exciting, but sometimes not knowing what to expect can cause children to feel a little nervous. We put together a short video with our friend Zander to show you what a day at school will look like. He had the best day ever at Canyon Creek Day School and we hope your child will too!

As a parent, you can only dream that a school is as great as CCDS. The administrators, teachers, and helpers all just "get it" culminating in the perfect combination of compassion, academic drive, and social growth.
We have had numerous family members and children of friends attend CCDS all with the same experience. Our two boys have now gone on to attend private school in Dallas and they are more prepared than most of their classmates.
We will miss Canyon Creek.

Amazing school, loving and caring staff.The best preschool in the town.Very clean and bright interiors,beautifully maintained campus.Staff is very loving and passionate about kids.My son loves Ms Posey and Ms Webb.

Being a teacher myself and being familiar with curriculum, education, standards, and Plano ISD, I was highly critical when searching for a preschool. I researched tons in the area and I ultimately decided that Canyon Creek was the best fit for my 2 year old. I could not be happier with my decision. The staff is professional, loving, and nurturing. Each member of the staff, even those who do not teach her for anything, know her name and pleasantly greet her. This makes her feel comfortable, confidant and love school. She has blossomed there and loves every minute of it.

Canyon Creek Day School has been one of the best decisions we have ever made for our son. The office staff is always helpful and welcoming, and his three-year-old teacher, Mrs. Salonish has been wonderful. Beyond the top-notch academics, CCDS has provided a place for our son to blossom through play and nurturing. We would recommend CCDS to anyone searching the area for a preschool. We live in Richardson, and feel like the extra commute time is worth it for our son to be in such a wonderful program.

Canyon Creek Day School has been the best experience for our family. The teachers and staff are loving and kind, and truly take time with each child. The school is immaculate and the academics are unrivaled. They continue to exceed my expectations on all levels.

We are very happy with our daughter's progress in Kindergarten with Teacher ( Ms. Heisserer). She is loving and highly qualified Teacher. We would like to continue My Daughter's 1st Grade in CCDS , but unfortunately Canyon Creek Day School doesn't offer. My Daughter loves to go to School everyday.The Teachers and Staff are amazing. They greet every child with their names everyday.

We have enjoyed working with such a wonderful and talented team of educators for the last three years. Our daughter has grown tremendously and developed such a confident sense of learning, that she now believes she can tackle any subject that comes her way. LOVE this school! This is our 3rd year here. All the teachers have been wonderful. There are tons of opportunities for parent involvement. The school and teachers are great about communicating about our kids' progress. The kids are always engaged and have been learning so much. All the kids in my son's preK class were reading by the end of the year. They get lots of practice writing and other fine motor skills. I highly recommend CCDS to every parent for their children. Top notch quality education for the young children. The best teaching program I've ever seen. My daughter was 3 when she got admitted to CCDS and in less than a year her improvement was 110%! The teachers are top quality and all very professional. The facility is very clean and very open space. They are very creative the way they teach and my daughter is always happy when I take her or pick her up from CCDS. Both of my daughters have gone to Canyon Creek Day School since they were 3 years old. My oldest is now 10 and my youngest is 6 1/2 and about to graduate from their Kindergarten program. I cannot say enough good things about this school and the teachers they have had. My oldest has ADHD, and they worked with her in her learning differences and actually had her reading by the time she started Kindergarten. My youngest had some behavioral problems during the transition from a private nanny to going to school and they were so patient and helpful EVERY DAY. The only negative to this school is that
