No matter where you find yourself in your life or personal relationships, you'll find a therapist at Balanced Life Counseling available to support you in any way you need. Together, we'll work to instill a sense of belonging and acceptance to provide a foundation for personal and relational growth.
Our therapists never have any preconceived assumptions of what you're going through or who you are, nor will they ever offer a "one-size-fits-all" approach. We give every client the attention and compassion they deserve and need to heal in a way that's right for them. My words limit the actual value of what Rebecca bestowed to me when I needed a helping hand to work through my challenging concerns.

I wanted to support local business and really liked what I read on their website. I thought it would be a good fit, so decided to wait out the 3-4 week waitlist. 1 month later I was offered an appt 3 weeks later. So I decided to look elsewhere and not wait a whole 7 weeks for an appt. I feel like wasted so much time, as I was able to get in within 1 week at a different place. If you need to talk to someone soon keep looking there is therapist out there! I also felt like their responses were cold and generic.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I refer to balanced life counseling because of the diversity of experiences of the therapist in the group. Rebecca is able to match individuals with a therapist based on their needs and backgrounds. The therapists themselves are compassionate and motivated to help individuals find their own path.

Yesterday, my husband scheduled an emergency therapy appointment when he was having a particular rough day and was on the verge of a panic attack. He scheduled a session with his regular therapist that he had been seeing for about 6 months. During the appointment, the therapist got up during the session and exited the room. As it turns out, she was calling the police. FOUR ARMED CHICAGO POLICE OFFICERS barged in the door and escorted him off the premises. They took his belongings and his phone, put him in the back of a padded truck, and took him to an undisclosed location. Let me repeat that, THEY
