Born in 1971, Coach Lee began his martial arts training at a young age. Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art focusing largely on grappling and ground fighting. It utilizes natural body leverage and proper technique to obtain dominant control on the ground and, as a result, provides greater position for striking or submission holds.
BJJ has been proven, when used properly, to be an effective method for dealing with bigger and stronger opponents and has become increasingly popular due in part to its great success in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. It can be trained for self defense, sport grappling (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts competition and has found its way into the training regiment of nearly every successful martial artist worldwide.

Our system of Mixed Martial Arts is a combination of principles stemming from Boxing, Muay Thai, Chinese Quick Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and Sanshou. In order to be successful in MMA, there are three key components that must be addressed, stand- up, ground fighting, and conditioning.
In order to meet the unique demand, our MMA program is geared toward giving our students an advantage by offering realistic drills and simulating common situations during a MMA competition.Boxing is the sport of fighting with the fists but is limited to legal blows to those striking above the waist and on the front or sides of the opponent.

Discipline and respect is far too often overlooked in today's society. We provide a motivating and understanding experience so that each kid can learn and interact within the group. Discipline and respect are achieved through participation in skills, conditioning, and games. This participation will also encourage growth and motor development during a very critical period in a child's life.
Summer Camp this summer! Activities include fishing, movies, field trips, and everything that kids enjoy. PLUS the special training camp included. If your kids are going for the summer competition, we will have coaches focus on the special training as well. Register today to get the best rate! Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Value
UMA is the headquarter of Wushu Sanda National Team and also has an excellent BBJ program. The best of both worlds: the best stand up skills and the best ground skills. But more so the staff is professional, very well experienced, and just an awesome environment for youth, teens, college students and adults!

I came hear for two trial workouts this week. The environment hear is great. The instructors are friendly, know their stuff and look the part. You won't be being trained by some out of shape instructor. These guys are active and are very engaged with all the students. You are going to feel like they want you to be there, and that they want you to learn. Their is an emphasis on technique and precision. You won't be told "good job" if you're not doing good. I love that about this place.
In terms of membership, it's a straightforward contract, I think it's affordable for what you get from the place

I was in Lubbock for 24 hours on business, and had the opportunity to stop in for their evening class. Everyone was super welcoming and made me feel right at home. There was zero “tough guy ego” and everyone rolled hard. The instruction was detailed and specific. Douglas was patient and incredibly helpful. His energy was very positive and infectious. If you are in Lubbock and have a chance, get a class in here!!!
