Being accused of assault in Oregon can be overwhelming, as such accusations are taken seriously by police officers and prosecutors. In many instances, the prosecution will work hard to charge you with the most severe assault charge in order to maximize your punishment. Across the nation, drug offenses are taken seriously and punished harshly. Under Oregon law, people are prohibited from driving a vehicle when their blood alcohol content (BAC) is.08 percent or higher. They may not drive while they are under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, inhalants, or other controlled substances. Even if you are arrested for a DUII and no conviction occurs, you may still face the suspension of your driver's license for a period of time.

Okay so this guy should be a DA because he acts like his clients are guilty and doesn’t even try to give them any hope or a better deal with their case. It says on his WEBSITE that he formally worked AT the District Attorney’s office. They probably go to brunch or whatever together. Definitely not the guy you want on a criminal case in my opinion!!!

If you get Travis as a Public Defender consider your self lucky.
My mother was assigned Travis as her PD, but I will be writing this review as if this was a paid attorney relationship.
Why Travis is awesome:
Travis incredibly knowledgeable of the Marion County Court system and will move and change things for a better/faster outcome.
Great counsel, From my perspective my mother was able to get a very reasonable deal, though it didn't look like this would happen early on. I am very happy we stuck with Travis through this process.
and last Travis is just a great guy, he has a ton of passion for

I agree with the first comment. Travis Dickey makes you feel like you're guilty until proven innocent. No "bedside" manner at all. Had me in tears within minutes. Didn't seem to believe a word I was saying. Plus, basically called me a drug addict!! Not someone I feel comfortable defending me because, he would not give a good defense. I was told I was lucky to have him for a lawyer. I don't think so. I believe I'm innocent until proven guilty! Not the other way around Mr. Dickey!!

I was actually just calling in to get a rate or price quote. Told him the basics of my case. Right of the bat I felt like he was a prosecutor not a defense attorney. The whole time I felt as if I had to defend myself. You have the right to make your own decisions just keep this in mind.
