Salesian High School
We are an all-boys Catholic school located in New Rochelle, New York that is rooted in the principles and teaching of St. John Bosco. Our 100-year tradition is based on reason, religion, kindness and the presence of educators among students. Salesian High School moves forward with a vision and promise into the next one hundred years by building a brand new Wellness Center, coming in spring of 2022.

We want to provide our young men with a fitness room that has state-of-the-art personal training equipment. Salesian alumni, family and friends are invited to celebrate with Fr. James Heuser, SDB at Glen Island Harbour Club. This annual event is one faithfulness and fellowship as. Salesian High School is pleased to share the following dates for prospective students and families.
Services
When a group of Salesians of St. John Bosco laid the cornerstone to their dream of a school on 17 acres overlooking Long Island Sound in New Rochelle, New York in 1920, Salesian High School was born. Salesian, to this day, embodies the rich educational tradition of St. John Bosco - a tradition based on reason, religion, kindness and the presence of educators among students.
St. John Bosco (Don Bosco) said, "It is not enough to love the young; They must know they are loved." That is what we must do through our #WeAreSalesian appeal and we must act quickly to support our families in need. We have members of our Salesian family who are experiencing turbulent times and need our support.
Steeped in the Catholic faith and educational tradition of St. John Bosco, Salesian High School is a home, a school, a parish and a playground. Our diverse community of young men preparing for college and meaningful careers are encouraged to become men of character, leadership and service in a global society.
Thank you for considering Salesian High School and we are so happy you want to learn more about our school, our programs and our proud traditions! We know that selecting the best possible school for your son is an important process and we're here to help make your experience as personalized and easy as possible.
Salesian strives to create a family spirit in an Oratory environment to be a home that welcomes, a parish that evangelizes, a school that prepares for life, and a playground where friends can meet and enjoy themselves. Don Bosco's preventive system of education - marked by reason, religion and kindness - is practiced by educators and students alike.

This is place is mediocre at best. Sure it’s better then new Rochelle high school. But still plenty of bullying (which I think is at any school tbh), staff and teachers play favorites, awful sports, and laughable events. And tons of horrible teachers.
You do get a lot of days off. And tbh it feels more like a middle school then a high school. I mean compared to new Rochelle high school. I can walk from one side to another of Salesian in like 15 seconds. New Rochelle High School it’ll take several minutes I’m talking across the halls.
I attended 2006-2009.......I randomly thought about high

My two nephews graduated from there and got into great colleges. They have good careers, but to this day they say the best part is the wonderful friendships they made and to this day are great friends.

Let us start with education, to be honest the education that your son would recieve depends on which teacher he is being taught with. There are a few teachers who teach very well and have incredible understandings of the topics in which they are teaching, yet there are some new teachers who are try their hardest to commend respect from students and subsequently make themselves less of a respectable person for trying to act "tough", may i inquire that some of these teachers could be deemed as unfair with grading, and completely unbreakable when it comes to talking about a change in a grade with

Class of ‘75. My fours years at Salesian were some of the best years of my life. I am still touch with many classmates. Knowledge gained is great but being Grateful of the Experience which Is Salesian can Never Fully Be Expressed in Words Alone. It’s Like Just Knowing You Are Loved. You Simply Can’t Quantify It, It Just Is. God Bless The Don Bosco Brothers and All the Laity That Brings Life and Joy To All That Pass Through Those HALLOWED HALLS. AMEN

I was reminded today why this place is so special. The teachers and clergy knew when we just needed a friend and when we needed their spiritual support

First time visiting this school and it felt so welcoming ! I ended up having a great conversation with one of the moms from the school and the feed back was amazing. It was such a great time that my son kept saying “Mom I can see myself attending this school”! It didn’t feel like just a pitch to get my son to come to this school but more like they practice what they preach !
