Regular eye exams are an invaluable tool in maintaining healthy eyes by detecting and preventing disease. Some diseases develop slowly without causing pain or vision loss. Early detection of any problems can reduce the risk of further harm and allow for a choice of treatment options. The entire exam process can take an hour depending on the complexity of the problem.
Meet Dr. Scoggins, the optometrist at Mt Juliet Eye Clinic, located in The Paddocks of Mt Juliet Shopping Centre, only minutes away from Donelson, Old Hickory, and Lebanon. Doctor Jeremy C. Regular eye exams are an important tool in eye health for detecting and preventing eye diseases and evaluating the overall health of the patient. Some diseases, such as glaucoma, develop gradually without symptoms or vision loss, so patients may not notice that anything is wrong until significant and irreversible damage as been done.
In addition to our comprehensive eye examinations, we also provide a wide array of specialty medical services. Sometimes, eye exam results or medical history may indicate that a patient is at risk for a certain condition or disease. Many eye diseases and conditions can be treated successfully if discovered early, so it is important to have an eye health examination annually.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Scoggins for about 8-9 years now. He very friendly and extremely thorough. He just added some amazing new technology so I really feel I'm getting a very thorough eye exam every time. Easy use of vision insurance and affordable when you don't. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Dr. Scoggins for several years now. He is very thorough and explains what is going on with your eye(s). He has the latest equipment and has added online scheduling or questions; and will respond before the day is over. I took my Mother and Grandson to him too and they liked the service they received. Kimberly, his receptionist is also very friendly and efficient. I have and will continue to recommend him to family and friends.
