The Breakers on the Ocean has the distinction of being the only full service hotel located on the ocean in Spring Lake. Originally built in the late 1800's and called the Wilburton, it was later renamed in 1905. The Hotel has since been through numerous renovations preserving the integrity of the past, while updating the interior to incorporate 21st century amenities.
The Breakers on the Ocean is unique to the Jersey Shore and we welcome you to experience its history and charm. For a Spring adventure, a Summer vacation, or a Fall or Winter escape, The Breakers on the Ocean is the perfect year round destination. Bed choices include king, queen or two queens. Luxury category rooms are the most generous in size and offer sofas and granite or marble gas fireplaces.
Reservations of two nights or less require a one night advance payment plus applicable tax. All other reservations require a minimum advance payment of two nights plus applicable tax. You may cancel your reservation until 14 days prior to arrival. After that time guests are responsible for all nights reserved regardless of guest's actual arrival or departure date.

We have been going here for at least 12 years. Love the atmosphere BUT they are falling short on a couple of things. The room was literally 81 with NO heat on ! Had to have windows open to try to breathe. The towels couldn't be any harder! I mean we pay very good money use fabric softener! The water itself is SO hard maybe use some money and invest in a water softener! Our hair and skin after a shower was so DRY! Just some tips!

We had my daughter's engagement party at the Breakers. It was absolutely beautiful. The ambience and the setting were perfect, the food was delicious and very abundant, the service was very professional and catered to our every need. A special thank you to Shannon and Sandra for making our party an affair to remember. I would highly recommend the breakers for any party.

This is a great place for people who appreciate preserved history they really keep this place up right on the ocean. And their food is really good only spending one night here and I'm sure it's off season but it was so reasonable, with an Ocean view, and a king size bed ,cable TV ,awesome bathroom ,corner windows and the people are so friendly. Looks like there's so much to do here I can't wait to come back here in the summer. This picture is our room service. And it was spot on. The room and this meal was under $300.

Rooms are lovely and well-appointed. Food was very good especially because we had a large group. Location couldn't be better walk across the street and you're on the boardwalk and a few steps more and you're in the ocean. Waiters and others were lovely including the housekeeping staff. Everyone tried to make our visit good one and one to remember.

I cannot stress enough how absolutely wonderful the entire staff are. Very accommodating and always delightful. Our room spotless and so comfortable. The food is incredible. Wow! We ate like kings. Five star everything! I would eat duck everyday of my life if I had that chef preparing it for me. We loved our stay and we did not want to leave. The beach was right there so so convenient. We have found our spot and will be back time and time again. Thank you incredible staff.

Wonderful hotel with a great wrap around porch. Rooms are clean. early check in is usually not available and the front desk staff does not go out of their way to be accommodating. Drink service by the pool is a nice plus after a day on the beach. Must bring your own beach chairs with you.
Would be nice if the hotel added an online booking feature where you can pay by credit card.
