Staff was very pleasant, helpful and informed. Overall the place had a good vibe and the rooms were nice though nothing special. Only complaint were the drinks that I had there. I had 2 drinks on an empty stomach with no effect whatsoever and could barely taste the alcohol..... At $12 a pop plus an automatic 18% gratuity that they add on, this was a total rip off. Response from the management in an email after I submitted a review to them was cut and paste and did nothing to address the issue with the drinks. If you decide to stay here I would advise you to bring your own booze or go down the block

This place is a dump! The rooms are terrible. I have never stayed in such an awful hotel before. The room is very stark and the furniture is cheaply made; a very sterile sleeping environment - not warm or welcoming. The chair is so uncomfortable and awkward to get in and out of it. No carpet. Reminds me of a hostel. But not hostel prices. No amenities that you would expect from a $300+ room. And it was very noisy. I did not sleep at all. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Do yourself a favor and drive past this place.

This place is a dump. The rooms are the worst! First of all, you can hear every sound from the halls. So good luck trying to sleep. Cheap (and cheap is a compliment) uncomfortable furniture. I couldn't sit in the chair. I guess when you're this close to the water you can rip off the public. There is no restaurant so when you go to the front desk for snacks, you are charged 18% on top of the cost of the items. The staff is mediocre at best when it comes to customer service. This place is not hipster; it's sh;%ster. When I pay over $300 for a room, I would think it would be a step

Our pipes had burst and we had no water. This girl needs a working toilet. I'm 43. I'm not camping in my house unless totally needed. So, Asbury Hotel took GREAT care of us. They were flexible with check in/out. They accommodated our dog with a one time pet fee. Everyone was really helpful and pleasant. They were nice to my dog. I know that's not a 'thing' but it actually is. Be nice to peoples kids and pets, they all will love you.
I'd go back any day...but hopefully our home is livable! (We live 1.8 miles from the hotel).

I haven't stayed at the Asbury Hotel... yet. But it's on my list for 2022. I have been here though for an after-party event and local events.

The rooftop bar is pretty cool, and also live bands played in the lobby during a previous Hi-Tide summer festival.

Two of our friends stayed at the hotel for a weekend, and had a great time. The hotel is in a good location close to the boardwalk, restaurants, music venues, etc. (all in walking distance).

If you're looking for a resort-style location at the beach, this isn't your spot. If you're looking for a comfy bed, great shower and bathroom, fun staff, and a super cool vibe, then this is the place to stay. Growing up near the shore, a great "tell" of a place was how it is in the off-season, and the Asbury is the same then as it is at the peak (albeit with fewer guests, of course). Multiple spots to grab a beverage make this as cozy or busy as you'd like, and the price point is just right for a place with a good personality.

I went last night for the first time &!saw a excellent band called Sandi Mack band. The drinks were $12 but bartender charged me $14 & I also tipped him not knowing. When I confronted the bartender he said they charge a gratuity to the drinks. Seriously..a $200 tip charge per drink. That’s unheard of for any bar in the world unless he lied to me. I’m not cheap & tip well when it’s deserved but that’s crazy!!

The staff at the Asbury is very professional, and friendly. The rooms (419) were clean, and modern in functionality. Our stay in Asbury Park was incredible due to the directions, and advise of the front desk staff. If you are in search of an incredible destination, stop looking, and book now!

The room was a bit sparse. Bed was comfortable. Shower and Bathroom were amazing. I didn't like that the nickel and dimed you for everything and automatically but 18% tip on everything you bought in the hotel the ambiance and the vibe in the lobby was very cool. At least put a coffee maker in the rooms and allow your guests a couple of cups of coffee for a premium night's stay.

I love the location and the whole vibe of this hotel. Beds not so much. They are platform beds, and very low and a little uncomfortable. Otherwise a great stay.

Had a great time in The Asbury during my stay. The hotel is clean and very accommodating. It's also wedding central as we were amongst 2 wedding parties the entire weekend we were there. Food counter, bar, free pinball & pool table, & comfortable beds. They even upgraded our room for free and housekeeping came without needing to request it. But I'm docking a star because one night while we were having drinks by the bar, there were a ton of dogs near us. Almost 10 in a group. I get that it's a pet friendly hotel, but there should be some limit to how many dogs are allowed.

Do not stay. The hotel features child size furniture, beds practically on the floor and little to any furniture in the rooms, which are small and uninviting. For this and during off season we paid $300 for a single nite. The advertise a roof bar but it was closed allegedly due to a broken elevator. The music from the lobby bar with kindergarten seating permeated up to my 5th floor room. Best part was the bathroom and checking out!

This is a nice hotel with chic decor. Everyone was pretty helpful. I did not stay here so I can't speak for the rooms.

They have a really nice rooftop bar which is nice to visit during the sunset.

I also enjoyed karaoke in the lobby which was fun.

Let me preface this by saying that I wanted to love this hotel and my time in Asbury Park. As a Jersey girl, I'm always rooting for affordable, classy, and relaxing vacation spots in my home state. Other reviews have complained about the room being too small. The room was not too small. It was perfectly fine. The facilities at this hotel are very nice. There is a beautiful pool, food truck, and it's only a block from the beach. However, the service leaves much to be desired. For the price you pay, the service is subpar. The staff is mostly young students who lack professional customer

I loved this place ! We have a home in the area , but our son was getting married at Mcloone's in Asbury. We decided to stay close by abs get a room.

Since the wedding was not in any of the hotels we could not get a block of Rooms . We had guest all over .

Luckily it was on a Friday , there was no weddings there that day. It was mobbed on Saturday as we were checking out.

Fun vibe , nice relaxed staff , if you're nice to them they will be very nice back. Especially Rebecca at the front desk !!

We had bikes stored , no problem , we had gift bags for our guest, no problem, etc

I'm not sure why the rating is so low for The Asbury. I stayed here last month and had a damn good experience. Got upgraded twice just because. Hotel staff was super nice. My room was spacious and comfortable. They even had vinyl records and a record player in the room. While the bed seemed low to the floor it was comfortable and those sheets which I can't find anywhere are THE MOST COMFORTABLE sheets I ever slept on. I did not want to get out of the bed. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable about the area and what to do for food and entertainment. As a Jersey native, I never heard

My boyfriend and I stayed overnight at The Asbury Hotel for a quick staycation. Sean was kind and knowledgeable upon check-in and made us feel welcomed. He provided us with a map and shared information about spots to check out in town. We were kindly upgraded to a Superior King after having booked a Standard Queen.

The room was clean and had a view facing the ocean. There are no balconies so it is seen from the window. Sean had told us that this was one of the only rooms with this type of view (Room 332). It is all the way at the end of the hallway, so keep that in mind.

The nightstands were

We loved the friendly service we recently received at The Asbury but were a little disappointed by the room. For a hotel that's so music themed, there are no docking stations or speakers in the room which was a real bummer. Also, there was a broken lamp, a towel hook that was coming out of the wall, cheap hair dryer, no liners for the garbages, a cheap mini fridge, etc. it was clean but a bit overpriced for what we got, and this was in the OFF SEASON! We ended up really pleased with being able to store three surfboards (including one longboard) in the downstairs luggage room, and we were also

My recent stay at The Asbury Hotel was fantastic. The staff was friendly and accommodating, indulging my request for a room that had been vacant for at least 24 hours. The lobby was creatively playful with colorful furnishings, a wall of records/cds, and a pool table. There was also a full-stocked bar and a separate coffeeshop. Sadly it was too chilly to take advantage of their pool area with daybeds or their rooftop lounge, but those would be obvious selling points during warmer weather.

Our Standard King room had basic, Ikea-like furnishings, but the bed was extremely comfortable! The spacious

Yes exceptional service!! We had an amazing stay. All of their staff were so helpful and kind. I would stay here again for sure. I wished we could used the Lounge area but due to Covid they were closed.
Their staff truly went out of their way to make our stay wonderful.
My only comment or tip. I wished the bathroom had hooks to hang towels and an extra table to place things. The room was vanilla and plain. Wished they had more color to bring coziness to the room. But that's my personal opinion. Felt a little like a
Hospital room.
But regardless I would come back. I travel to go out not

Amazingly modern and hip hotel. I truly loved our stay. The staff was phenomenal and greeted us daily. The hotel amenities and poolside services was outstanding, from the yellow towels to the food truck, frozen Rosè, rooftop movies, or rooftop bar and lounge. Make sure if you order the Rosè, add a shot of Grand Marnier (YOU WILL THANK ME)! All of the food options we tried, shrimp tacos to chicken ceasar salad were great.

Almost all of the hotel is great. HOWEVER, we were not pleased with the simplicity of the room design or function. We did expect more from the comfort or the room.

Looking for a nice open space to have a drink? We made a reservation (it's a must) for the rooftop bar Salvation, for 6pm on a Wednesday night. Security at the door to check your reservation and ID, up to the rooftop you go! Seating is spread out, comfy couches and great views of the boardwalk and Atlantic Ocean. Very cool vibe. Drinks are on the pricey end and food is very limited. We did order the buffalo chicken pizza and the pesto pizza and it was good. Service was great. Staff wore masks, need to wear a mask until you are seated - easy enough!

Very nice place. Hotel has pool table and other entertainment games in the lobby area.

Elevator to rooftop, opens up to a big bar and panoramic gorgeous view. It was a bit windy but nothing to ruin the evening. DJ was jamming. He was so smooth with his transitions.
I ordered a gin and tonic and it was perfect.
It wasn't crowded. We were able to enjoy ourselves.

Turned out to be a great time with great friends.
I will come back during the summer.
It's definitely the place to go .
