It's an incredibly stressful world out there, and it can be really lonely and scary to do life alone. We'd like to do it on our own, but we are designed to have community and after living through over a year of social distancing it may be hard to re-build community. We're meant to work together, to problem-solve together, and to care for each other.
Especially in, times like these connecting with someone is important. Talking to a therapist about your problems can feel difficult, but when we focus on feeling better, it has positive effects on us and on our loved ones. I'm here to help during these challenging times. My name is Alicia Hess, and I'm a therapist who remembers all too well how challenging it was to be a teenager.

Services
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I believe we all want to be heard and validated and we can enhance ways of expressing ourselves when we seek support. My hope is that in our work together, you or your loved one will learn skills to more effectively communicate and this will result in more satisfaction and less daily stress.
There is so much power in meeting with other people who are experiencing similar feelings to you. Come join other teens in your area and learn skills to feel more confident in coping with life. This is an 8 week group that will cover self-esteem, positive thinking and communication skills, based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I help young adults or college students who are anxious, stressed and worried. I will teach you how to tame the beast of anxiety by quieting your inner critic and practicing self-care. We work together to develop skills to manage the daily worry, stress and anxious thoughts without feeling that we burden our other relationships.
You put everyone else first and do everything for everyone else and no one ever seems to appreciate you. You never take the time for yourself to do the things that you want to do, but instead put it off because there is always something more important to do. You work harder than anyone you know and yet everyone seems to be more successful at this point in their career, you're not climbing the ladder at work.
My fee is $185 per therapy session. The fee is the same regardless of who's in the therapy session (individual, family, etc.), in person or teletherapy and the session lasts 50 minutes. Cash, checks, credit cards, Health Savings Accounts, and Flexible Spending Accounts can be used. I know that the therapy process does include a financial investment, and at the same time, I wouldn't want this process to add undue stress to your life.
