Precise Alterations is a family owned business in Cornelius NC. Yong Bullard is from Seoul South Korea she has been sewing for more than 37 years. She graduated from sewing and pattern making school then started her professional career. During her career she has been a designer, pattern maker, seamstress and business owner.
Some of Yongs experience includes working as a pattern maker and first sample maker at Nolan Miller designs in Beverly Hills California. Nolan Miller was nominated six times for an Emmy Award for his designs. Later she relocated to Atlanta Georgia to be closer to her family. She was hired by Miz Scarletts in Buckhead as head seamstress.

A couple of years after opening Precise Alterations Lowes corporate HQ in Mooresville NC asked Yong to open a store front inside the headquarters building to offer sewing and alterations services to over 4,000 employees. Yong provided this service for Lowes for four years. She had to end her service with Lowes to concentrate solely on Precise Alterations because it was growing and expanding at a rapid pace.
Yong is an expert at fitting. Fitting the garment is the first step and most important part of any successful garment alteration. Fitting is more than just putting a pin in the fabric it is creating a template for the seamstress to follow. We specialize in Weddings, proms, formals and all types of alterations.

Do NOT count on this place if you have a spring event. She is nice, but does NOT know how to manage her time!! My daughter's dress was promised a week before the prom. I called them and was still not done. I then received multiple phone calls extending the timeline, over and over UNTIL THE DAY OF THE PROM! I received several phone calls from her that day, pushing the time further and further out. So much so, that my daughter had to get dressed in a public bathroom nearby and head straight to the event. Yong did a wonderful job altering my wedding dress! I highly recommend her for her attention to detail and her quality work! She was incredibly kind and attentive to my requests for what to change to the dress and it came out beautifully! I should also mention she was recommended to my by a colleague who had her dress altered by Yong about 15 years ago, so Yong has the experience any bride would desire when getting their wedding dress altered. I purchased a mother of bride dress from a local bridal shop because I liked the color and design. Although it was to big I purchased anyway because the bridal shop recommended Yong and said she could make it fit. The dress was large at the top and needed to be trimmed down. After she fit me I knew she knew what she was doing the fitting went perfect and I was amazed.
When I picked up my dress with my daughter neither one of us could believe how awesome it looked and how well it fit. Yong is really a genius she made by day by allowing the opportunity to wear the dress to my daughter’s wedding

10 out of 10!!!! I had ordered my wedding dress a size to big. It was about 5 inches too long and the straps and bust area were too loose and she made my dress fit like a glove! I was worried that u were going to be able to tell were she had to cut or shorten the dress but no it looked perfect. She even bustled my wedding dress. Love her work its amazing❤

Absolutely FANTASTIC!! Did amazing work on my wedding dress and had to let it out quite a bit for me. You can’t even tell. Prices are great, work is top notch and she even called me to ask how my wedding went afterwards! She’s truly invested in her clients and I will not go anywhere else. I’ve referred every one of my friends here.

I can not say enough about the positive experience I had with this business. I had a last minute need and she not only altered my wedding dress to exact specifications but allowed me to throw in reception dress as well only a week before my wedding and everything was back in time. I highly recommend and would use again even though she is 40 mins away from my house.

I highly recommend them because of the outstanding job Yong did on my wedding dress and the timely turnaround. My wedding was in Charlotte but I live in another state I wanted to get my gown altered in the area so I didn’t have to travel with it. I flew in to town for the fitting and worked with Yong regarding when I could pickup. I explained I needed a week before the wedding so I could make sure it fit for the ceremony. Nov 2019* Wonderful experience with my wedding dress and my mother in laws dress. She was very thoughtful with regards to how your dress flowed while walking and also added 'bones' for a better shapely look.
Only con was the timing... We had to return twice as she hadn't finished on time.
